The [[page type is::event]] known as '''Hollow Eve''' occurs every four Elanthian years (every real world year around Halloween) when for reasons unknown the stars begin to fall from the sky.

The first Hollow Eve was in 392, during which the sky became completely blank. Sighting of the [[Bloodworm Comet]] followed by many weeks of falling stars and a led up to it, accompanied by random swarms of undead who seemed to be drawn to the {{ilink|i|glowing iron fragment}}s that were in the craters produced by the shards.

This culminated in the first Hollow Eve Festival, at the time called the Holy Festival, due to the fears that the gods were angry with the mortals.
