Description

The black goblin stares back at you with pale green eyes. Taller than an average Human and with a broad barrel chest, the black goblin supports its muscular frame on slightly bowed legs. Its thick ebon skin is heavily creased and resembles charred wood, an adaptation this breed has developed to blend easily into the shadows. The black goblin wears crudely stitched patchwork hunting leathers and a lopsided smirk. A woven harness filled fitted with numerous dull iron hurling axes is slung haphazardly over its shoulder, rattling softly against each other with every narrow stride.

In Depth

Equipment/Loot

It is wearing some patchwork leathers.
It is carrying a dull iron hurling axe with a sinew-wrapped leather hilt, a battered wooden shield sloppily painted with faded insignia.

Skinning

Successfully skinned a couple at 462. Rather poor skins however three of three tries were successful, War Mage had SUF up and no other bonuses in effect.

Combat Experience

Combat 3.1

Optimal learning range appears to be 460-600 per an appraise careful of the creature.

NOTE: With 500 parry and 450 evasion/shield and 80 agility/reflex more than 2 of these guys at a time will be rough. Optimal or not, you probably want approximately 500 average defenses (before buffs) before you use black gobs as your primary hunting area.

Another note: If you fight here when they're still a challenge, you probably want 250 First Aid at a minimum to reduce damage from tending out axes. With 220 skill I tended about a third of them without additional damage, the other times I caused moderately or drastically more damage from tending the axes out.
