:Most (currently all?) runestones are not actually invoked at minimum prep. They typically are prepared with 20 mana when you invoke them. You can check by using PERC or CONC after you have invoked it to see a line about how much mana you are preparing it with. Depending on the spell, that could mean upwards of 200-250 sorcery skill to cast. Just a guesstimate for that mana amount, the actual requirements might vary.--[[User:ABSOLON|ABSOLON]] ([[User talk:ABSOLON|talk]]) 17:49, 30 May 2016 (CDT) |

Checked my Elbaite runestone and it has the Instinct spell in it, so I updated the table.

general data, specifics to come. assuming the sorcery cap is higher on runestones that give more experience, the following list shows least to greatest: rhodonite, imnera, calavarite.

Just went to check the new runes sold in Shard.
Electrum Runestone (Eagle's Cry) Topaz Runestone (Protection From Evil) Quartz Runestone (Refresh)
All three runes were 6 more uses.

Appears outdated
It appears this area and the main runestone page are outdated with the 3.1 rune/stone changes. I don't know how to mark a page as outdated, so I'll just try to fix the ones for the runestones I currently have.
Here's some that I have:
- You tap a colorful elbaite runestone marked with a symbol for Ease Burden that you are holding.
- You tap a pale avaes runestone marked with a symbol for Clear Vision that you are holding.
- You tap an ilmenite runestone marked with a symbol for Clear Vision that you are holding.
My skills aren't high enough yet to get muchinformation from them.

Runestones Futile For Casting Spells?
With 140+ primary magic, attunement and arcana, along with 74 sorcery, my cleric produces a hopeless backfire on a minimum prep invocation of the Pale Aves Runestone (Clear Vision). - Most (currently all?) runestones are not actually invoked at minimum prep. They typically are prepared with 20 mana when you invoke them. You can check by using PERC or CONC after you have invoked it to see a line about how much mana you are preparing it with.
