| Hey folks,
I've received confirmation that the gem-like behavior of the spiritgems is indeed intended. They ARE meant to act just like any other gem - therefore being able to be stowed into tied gem pouches, being stealable, and being sellable. This is not a bug - so if you want to keep your spiritgem for alteration fodder or what-have-you, treat it with the same care you'd treat any other rare gem you'd want to use for such things (such as being careful not to stow it, keeping it in a closed container, etc.).
