ceremonial mantle of mottled black silk fastened with a ghostly white moonstone | |
---|---|
Look: | The pale gem in the clasp offsets the rich darkness of the fabric. Close inspection reveals that the mottling of the mantle results from repeatedly dyeing the silk with the overlapping silhouettes of thousands upon thousands of shrikes. A small label has been sewn into the back of the neckline.
