The Story

The Nightengale Family's origins are traced to the island of Aesry, but have been rumored to be the original rulers of Aesry. They are the oldest known Necromantic colony in Elanthia's known history. A very secretive family, there is not much written history, only the stories passed down and memories of the few surviving members whose whereabouts are currently unknown. The stories say that in the early 300's, the Necrop, a group of Necromancer Hunters, find the family and battle them for many years. Around 340, the Necrop reached the Nightengale Mansion and a battle raged there for many days. In the end, it is said that all of the Nightengale bloodline were vanquished, taking a large number of Necrop with them.

There is rumor that only two family members escaped the battle, coming to Crossing in Zoluren. The son of the patriarch, Theodain, who vowed revenge and began looking to rebuild his lost clan, and his daughter. Theodain had with him, two servants who he passed down the tomes of Nightengale knowledge. The Necrop learned that there was still Nightengale living and came to Crossing. Theodain fought them, and sent his daughter into hiding and fled.

He returned to the hidden Nightengale ruins and sealed them magically so that nobody without Nightengale blood could enter the grounds. It is said that many items of Necromancy are hidden.

The whereabouts of the Daughter, Lothirania, are currently unknown.
