I can sort of understand it due to how the formula worked.  GS started as an incredible amount of power for no effort, but at the high end broke down; its scaling was insufficient to keep up with a "real" combat Empath, which made the whole spell frustrating at the conceptual level: it was giving people free beat-down power but not rewarding people who actually wanted to dedicate time into beat-downing.<br>

We flipped that, and it's perfectly understandable that the people that were worst off were upset.<br>
