The best information that Moon Mages have available is that it's coming from the {{PRel|Category:Children of Kalestraum|Children of Kaelstraum}}. {{PRel|Karosti}} is the implied author of {{PRel|Sever Thread}}, and the Children have in the past "demonstrated" teleologic sorcery before it became widely available. Karosti claimed to discover how to create it from his study of {{PRel|Taisgath}}.

As it stands, though, there's no confirmation. Fresh copies of it are found or distributed through back channels and the Moon Mage Guild is trying its hardest to at least appear to crack down on it.
