They should be roughly the same, but it is very possible that one may be slightly better than the other depending on a few factors. Careful gives more RT, but also gives more xp, roughly at the same ratio. However, this is not going to be perfect at the moment, so it is definitely possible that normal foraging may teach better in some cases, and careful in others. Both should be fairly close, though.

At some point we need to redo {{PRel|Foraging skill|foraging}} difficulties and experience completely. The current fix is primarily just to deal with a longstanding problem with being able to train the skill at all. It definitely needs more TLC. At that point it is likely that we'll redefine careful and precise a bit to make them more useful in and of themselves, rather than a workaround for [[ranger]]s and [[empath]]s to learn a bit faster like they were before.
