Renshuel recites:

"His Majesty, Prince Vorclaf Lasa'Sorvendig of Zoluren"

Renshuel says, "Your Excellency."

Vorclaf says, "Greetings to all Zoluren citizens, nobles and guests of the province. Tonight has a great significance on the future of Zoluren as I am going to institute new measures in the way security concerns are handled."

Vorclaf says, "We are truly in troubled times. I, however, have faith that we will overcome the evil forces around us and delve into a time of renewed prosperity."

Vorclaf says, "Our prayers go out to Lady Edenlaen, and I will address those matters shortly. But let me say, that by land and by seas, our troops are searching Zoluren and will continue until she is returned."

Vorclaf says, "Tonight I will receive petitioners. But before I do so, I would like to address some matters of state that will concern all Zoluren citizens."

Vorclaf says, "First, I would like to introduce two Zoluren Expeditionary Force captains. These two will be based in the Seglotha Bay area primarily to defend against any incursions from the seas at Arthe Dale and also Crossing."

Vorclaf says, "The first, Captain Chellene Mondraith, will command the Leaping Dolphin. Her task will be primarily the defense of Seglotha Bay and Crossing Docks. She will also be liaison between Kaovales and the other ZEF captains."

Vorclaf says, "Greetings to you, good Captain."

Chellene says, "Your Majesty."

Vorclaf says, "The second, Captain Caibre Ev'otia, commands the Selkie's Secret. While he is currently in search of the Dawnsinger and the dastardly pirate Jourok, his primary duties will be to monitor and patrol the borders from Therengia to Arthe Bay and will back up the Leaping Dolphin incase of major assaults."

Renshuel takes down a few notes in his journal.

Vorclaf says, "I have commissioned Captain Caibre as a new ZEF captain. His deeds in recent activities have been done with honor and I am pleased to elevate his promotion into the ZEF."

Vorclaf says, "I have been considering the idea of securing the docks, yet more research and thought is needed. I do not wish to give the impression that Crossing, the center of trade in the known lands, is hostile. Yet, I also wish to ensure safety for those ships and vessels that may come under attack."

Vorclaf says, "So until the time we resolve the dock issue, I have recalled the Leaping Dolphin, which many of you have already seen arrive, to be permanently stationed in the bay and surrounding areas. "

Vorclaf says, "We will take all measures to ensure our shores are well patrolled and that any hostile ship that enters our waters, or assault our shores will be dealt with by deadly force."

Vorclaf says, "I am also pleased announce Provincial Guard Pohofa Flaxseed of the Dale. She is newly commissioned and will monitor activites primarily in Arthe Dale, though she has authority throughout the province."

Vorclaf says, "She is currently on assignment but will be back once her mission is completed."

Kaovales nods to Vorclaf.

Kaovales casually observes the area.

Vorclaf says, "The next area of concern will be in regards to the other fronts of Crossing. I have commissioned workers to reinforce the Crossing walls with battlements."

Vorclaf says, "Surveyors are already on the project and will be beginning construction once all the details and costs have been evaluated."

Vorclaf says, "Surveyors are also researching ways of improving the gates and better ways to reinforce them from hostile forces. In the mean time, I urge citizens to create watches and voice your alarms if any hostile forces approach."

Vorclaf says, "Now on a brighter note, I am quite pleased Captain Zoryl Baxxton has been safely returned to us. While he is still in a state of shock, I do believe he will come around and give us information on his captivity. We salute this valiant naval hero and pray for his quick recovery."

Vorclaf says, "I also am pleased of the heroic efforts of our Healers and other citizens who came to the rescue of Captain Zoryl. Your deeds are duly noted and bring honor to Zoluren."

Vorclaf says, "I am releasing Commander Jorta, who has served Zoluren with distinction and honor, and sending her to Therengia to serve under the Baron."

Vorclaf says, "In releasing Commander Jorta, I am giving Kaovales more control of security. Currently, he is training two more provincial guards and I will commision them once their training is complete."

Vorclaf says, "In addition, I will also send the Haven's Wind to Riverhaven. There she will be transfered to a Therengian Captain and serve in the Therengia fleet."

Vorclaf says, "Now, onto more pressing matters..."

Vorclaf says, "'It has come to my attention that the villian Grishnok has enlisted others into his cause. These traitors will not be tolerated in Zoluren."

Vorclaf says, "If the villian Grishnok is seen anywhere in this province, you have my official decree to kill on site. There will be a reward for his death in this Province."

Vorclaf casually observes the area.

Vorclaf says, "We have one more matter to deal with before I begin petitions."

Vorclaf says, "Kaovales, please summon the citizen known as Xorg."

Renshuel says, "Rhydiah, in crossings."

Kaovales just tried to take Vorclaf's hand, but he politely pulled away.

Ambassador Kulainik just arrived.

Vorclaf nods to Kulainik.

Vorclaf says, "Greetings to you, Ambassador."

Kulainik says, "I bring word from her Majesty in Shard, the Ferdahl Kukalakai."

Vorclaf nods.

Kulainik says, "She asks me first to express her confidence that you and the forces of Zoluren will do all in your power to trace and capture any involved in the recent abduction of her court Ladt, Edenlaen, while under the protection of this court and resident in Crossing."

Vorclaf nods to Kulainik.

Vorclaf says, "You may assure the Ferdahl, that every aspect is being looked in to."

Vorclaf says, "You may also give her my personal guarantee that if they are in Zoluren, they will be captured and Lady Edenlaen will be returned."

Kulainik says, "She reminds you of the long times of friendship and mutual assistance which mark the relationship between our two realms, and knows that your efforts will be as assiduous as were those of Shard when your own representative was taken some years past."

Kaovales sheathes his scimitar.

Kulainik inclines his head in acknowledgement.

Vorclaf nods to Kulainik.

Kulainik says, "This leads to the information she has charged me to give, your Highness."

Vorclaf says, "That is quite disturbing."

Kulainik says, "The....empath Jomay appears to accompany him, and he claims to have the Lady

Kulainik regards the Prince steadily.

Vorclaf appears disturbed.

Vorclaf says, "Continue."

Kulainik says, "In parley with a representative of her Majesty, the lady was allowed to communicate, and indicated before she was cut off that she was still aboard a ship. We know that Zoluren will bend all efforts towards finding this ship, should Grishnok play false and attempt to slip away to sea once more with her."

Vorclaf nods to Kulainik.

Vorclaf asks, "Were there any demands made? What were his intentions?"

Kulainik says, "The Ferdahl bids me advise you, Grishnok has approached her regarding ransom - both of the Lady Edenlaen, and at least ten more empaths held by him."

Kulainik says, "His....modest requirements....are that the ruined remains of the Forbesh fortress to the south of the city be given over to him, along with some paltry sum in coin. The Ferdahl considers these requirements as we speak."

Kulainik says, "She wishes you to pay heed to your own borders, and, as said, we have all faith in your ability and desire to continue the search for this criminal and all of his allies."

Vorclaf says, "Please inform the Ferdahl than anything we can be of assistance in aiding, we will provide."

Kulainik steps back a pace, bowing, and says, "Highness, she will hear your words."

Vorclaf says, "Please enjoy the hospitalities while you are here, and safe journey back to the Ferdahl."

Kulainik smiles blandly.

Kulainik says, "Messages shall be sent, my Lord Prince."

Vorclaf says, "I understand your concerns. It is my hope that when the construction is complete we will be more prepared for any incursions or invaders into our territory."

Villya says, "we are not allowed to protect ourselves Excellency, because of our skills"

Villya nods to Vorclaf.

Villya says, "aye it is everyone's hope I believe"

Vorclaf says, "I disagree, good lady. You have skills to defend yourselves. You have your intelligence."

Villya says, "yes your Excellency I agree with that, seeing that has been my saving grace in many an invasion"

Vorclaf says, "If you feel your guild halls are under attack, find safehaven elsewhere, or gather warriors to your cause so that the invaders are repelled."

Villya nods to Vorclaf.

Villya says, "yes your Excellency, we have done what you have suggested, but sometimes it is not enough"

Vorclaf says, "When the upgrades to the town are completed, I believe you will feel more secure. In the meantime, call upon other citizens to the cause."

Edgee calmly says, "Though our current instructions by the Ferdahl have charged us with helping with Ilithi's defense against the mounting forces lead by Grishnok and those affiliated with him, because of our personal feelings about her capture, we do offer all we have to assisting in any efforts Zoluren undertakes to see to her return."

Allurana smiles at Edgee.

Vorclaf nods to Edgee.

Vorclaf says, "The best way you can help Zoluren is to continue your efforts in the return of Lady Edenlaen."

Vorclaf says, "Be vigil in your searches."

Allurana says, "Grishnok has stated, that were we to harm him, the lady Edenlaen's life would be forfeit"

Allurana says, "We feel sorely lacking in our duty if we cannot see her returned to safety. We look to your guidance as well."

Vorclaf says, "I personally believe there are always opportunities. And while these opportunities may present themselves for some time, we must make sure to ensure the safety of those in need."

Jenteal says, "While a system of grand fortifications sounds splendid in theory, I am not sure in practice it will serve much barrier 't all."

Jenteal says, "As you know, Crossing has been rocked by invasion after invasion as of late..."

Jenteal says, "Times are hard, but your citizens have time and time again taken up arms to meet the invader."

Jenteal says, "And nearly EVERY single time, your Highness, I've watched your provincal troops sit there and watch."

Jenteal says, "You have companies of soldiers around the city, who sat on their bums and watched as the invader marched by."

Jenteal says, "I believe something must be done to address this issue..."

Vorclaf says, "Do not confuse the town guards with the provincial guards. Many of them, including the ZEF fleet are constantly engaging enemies of Zoluren. While you may not see that on a day to day basis, I assure you if it were not for the Zoluren forces, enemies would have taken over the province."

Jenteal says, "Of course. I am not questioning the bravery of your soldiers...However..."

Jenteal says, "Just last week, the Middens was turned into a battleground by those rogue Mages known as The Children."

Jenteal says, "They rampaged across the Middens, scarcely a block away from your Keep. The Zoluren companies stationed here took NO action whatsoever."

Jenteal says, "I can hope you understand my concern..."

Vorclaf says, "I will discuss with Kaovales your concerns."
