Viyalo Tivrofi-Vayato
She has a triangular face with a missing tooth, cat-slitted violet eyes and a small nose. Her honey-streaked brown mane is long and fine, and is worn tied back in a thin braided tail. She has tawny fur with brown points, a curving tail and a slender figure. She is tiny for a Prydaen.
She was born on the 17th day of the 3rd month of Lirisa the Archer in the year of the Emerald Dolphin, 411 years after the victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
Viyalo is a Prydaen commoner, supposedly born in the sewers of Crossing. She claims her father died when she was 4-6 years old, and her mother had been sent to Drelstead Prison even before that. She was raised by a gor'tog man known as Big Hands Doctor and took her schooling in the Viper's Nest Inn. This education did not include learning Prydaenese or how to read.
She ran with a small gang in her childhood, which met with a grisly end when they stopped for snacks at the Empath guild moments before a necromancer attacked with a glass construct. Viyalo's left thigh was ripped apart by the construct exploding, and she crawled away after no adventurers would come to her aid. Big Hands Doctor sewed her leg back in place, but it left her with a limp and a bad case of alcoholism, as the glass remaining in her thigh dug into her over the years, eventually severing the nerves just before her knee.
Eventually, the necromantic influence of the glass and a mishap while exploring the Middens left her feverish and likely to die, and she allowed her empath friends Eruwyn and Owenheim to surgically remove the glass. Despite their success in removing the glass, the necromantic poisoning of her flesh inhibited their ability to heal the gangrene in the lower half of her leg, leaving them with the difficult choice to amputate it to save her life, and let her heal naturally.
Viyalo was rescued from the streets at 17, by fellow commoner Rhatt, who invited her to live in his house. Eventually they became an item, and now consider each other life-mates.
Viyalo's nickname is "Whisker"; she claims this is because she was practically invisible until finding a divine charm, whereupon adventurers suddenly took notice of her presence. She doesn't know this is just a direct translation of her name.
