Eagle Eye

I described the inventory as "raptor-themed," because there are more than just eagles (hawks, owls, and vultures, for example). --Isharon 21:09, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Hrm. Makes sense. I think when someone sees "raptor" at first glance they're not thinking birds of prey as much as... Jurassic Park, but good point. -TEVESHSZAT 22:42, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Elanthipedia Scripts

If you still need help getting my scripts to work, let me know. I've recently released some new features, so you may also want to consider downloading the updated versions. --Isharon 01:50, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

I'm understanding it a bit more now. Might be able to use it now! -TEVESHSZAT 03:58, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Sorenne

Please do not edit the pages of characters you do not own. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 06:08, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

No problem. Since it directly referenced my character I was just nodding back at a friend's profile.

AHHHHH!

Could you pretty please, for my sake, use the Preview button rather than so many tiny edits together? <whimper> -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 04:06, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I was using preview, but I still prefer saving every so often just because I'm so used to doing it as general good practice. I might still save once or twice along the way when doing something as large as building an entry like that, but I doubt I'll really be making something with that much content again anytime soon. I don't know if this is possible, but is there a way to save a draft when using the wiki interface? In the end I don't want to have my browser crash and/or have the website stall and end up losing the work I did. TEVESHSZAT 04:14, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Well, I hate to bring out the tech geek, but if you use Firefox, when you submit info to a website for (like when you use the preview button), the browser will "save" it semi-temporarily. On the other hand, you can just periodically select all and copy it to the clipboard. Or you can use an external editor. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 04:26, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Sadly I've abandoned Firefox a few months ago and went straight to Chrome. Looks like doing it in Text Edit and posting it when done is the best way to go. TEVESHSZAT 04:31, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Evil/Undead

What are you using to check for creature's undead/cursed flag? You've flagged Tresses, Bloodvines and Ghoul Crows as a No, but clerical appraisal says they're cursed and FF will land multiple strikes which will only happen against cursed/evil targets. -Glimmereyes 21:56, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Hrm. That's weird, because necros can do their rituals on them and spells don't require that extra point to get past undead-ness.TEVESHSZAT 05:19, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Huh, well look at that. I did just test things out with my Paladin and they're apparently undead but not getting the full effects of it (blessings work and such). That's weird. Did something change that separated cursed from undead at some point?TEVESHSZAT 05:24, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Tools

WHERE DID YOU GET THEM?!?!?!?! GIMMIE!!!!! -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 04:47, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Plat instance. Wonk wonk :P I'm going to update the toolbox in a bit. Have a good chunk of tools and deeds in it, so getting the weight is a bit awkward right now. --TEVESHSZAT 04:55, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
Damn, Plat. I thought Han might have sold his. <sigh> -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 05:15, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Armor:Variegated mail shirt‎

If you have this, could you please double check the impact absorbance? -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 02:31, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Checked my log just now... "good (5/16) protection and very great (12/18) damage absorption for impact attacks" --TEVESHSZAT 02:43, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Hmm.... Thanks (Harbor Ships)

I was going to get around to doing that but I was doing it in order of things first, but thanks? Kind of freaked me out there when I went to the ships and it was different. Little bit of a warning next time? I was in the middle of saving some stuff. --Kemosiris
I'm undoing your change cause you misplaced a lot of other unorganized stuff... Talk to Caraamon, I already told him that I'm editing this area. Please don't do that again. I'm trying to work everything out. --Kemosiris
Ok, found it but I sent Caraamon an offline message explaining things. Just give me some time, I'm working on this section. --Kemosiris

Sounds good! No worries! --TEVESHSZAT 23:38, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Okay. But you gave me one hell of a freak-out. I had just finished editing something, refreshed and everything went *POOF*. >.> I was like OMIGAWD Where did it all go!?!? --Kemosiris
Couldn't blame you! --TEVESHSZAT 19:15, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Armor:Chain robe made of steel links with silvered links at the collar and cuffs

Do you recall why this is trader typed? -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 08:51, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it had a Trader appraisal. --TEVESHSZAT 22:50, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
There were a large number of items raffled off at the last HE that had Trader appraisals, which is why I'm assuming that's what it is based on. --TEVESHSZAT 23:01, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

Guildfest 409 Auction

Why did you remove the notes with each statement by the auctioneer? They contain notes on the items which are more valuable than basically empty notes you replaced it with. Please put them back. --Elriic 06:28, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Those are what the items are. It's much simpler to read this way. They can be added to individual items as details. --TEVESHSZAT 06:42, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Simpler is not better. I do however agree with you that those things can go in the notes of the individual items. It'll cross reference over to the Plat items too. --Elriic 06:46, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
It's much clearer the way we've been doing it for all the previous auctions. If you want to have notes for individual items about how a GMNPC said "this is a bird charm" in a very robust way, you're free to do so, but it clutters up the item directory itself. --TEVESHSZAT 06:48, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Your serious attitude problem

You need to check yourself. I don't give a damn if you're a moderator on this site. Communities do not function when someone like you gets a god complex and attempts to dictate information flow. And it especially doesn't function when you delete other people's work to put in LESS information or worse WRONG or BROKEN information. Stop Changing My Contributions. --Elriic 08:01, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

If you have an issue with my streamlining the way information is displayed, which is how the information has always been displayed, you need to take it up with Caraamon. In fact, I will highlight this discussion for him just so he knows it is taking place. --TEVESHSZAT 14:36, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
Please do, because thanks to you, information about this auction is going to be lost. Who's going to even know who put this auction on? You are not Elanthipedia. You are one moderator with a God Complex. I neither appreciate, want, nor will ALLOW you to remove this information from the site. --Elriic 17:18, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
Details about the items go on the pages about the items. You could have created pages for those specific items instead of make this into a silly argument. --TEVESHSZAT 17:58, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Alchemy item

Instuctions indicated " If you have an item that is not a cambrith pyramid but you believe is still meant to be rare/special/auction/etc, list it below." Please do not delete my squirrel again, as it fits this criteria. Kydosha

Everyone at the event received one; it was a participation trophy. Like regular festival items, it's not "special" nor "unique" enough to really qualify as a rare/special/auction item. The list is more for items that are rare/special/unique --TEVESHSZAT 08:09, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
That is for the GMs to decide whether it is "special" or "unique" enough. The task of the page is to put the items up there, not for YOU to act as a GM-proxy and decide for the GMs which ones are acceptable. Being as this event was ran ONCE, only those who were in it got one, and is not a recurring "event", qualifies this as "unique" imho. Kydosha
No one is acting as a proxy. I'm the one whose idea it was to make the section to begin with. Calm down. --TEVESHSZAT 15:15, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to back Tev up on this one. Rare is not the same as special. Special is almost always auction, quest, extremely expensive (and usually limited stock) festival items, or unique items given at events. Almost all participation gifts are standard items given fancy looks or a few verbs and are almost never functionally better than standard items.
If you have another reason to believe it is special besides origin, please let us know, but as it stands, it does not qualify.
In addition, as this page is on Elanthipedia, as an assistance to the GMs, it is our job to curate the list as best we can. You are more than welcome to disagree, but if after debate, the decision is made against you, then I would suggest bringing it up in the play.net forums. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 15:26, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
