Enwahs childhood:

Enwah began as a young toggler in the town of knife clan, the town of barbarians, gor'togs and blacksmithing. Enwahs parents were known as two of the most intelligent people of the clan and were well respected by many, but also hated as well because of one thing... They were actually warrior mages. Enwah was ostersized because of this fact...his parents were magic users which to many (especially barbarians) hated them for. One day as Enwah came home he heard yelling within his house. He went in to see both his parents strugging with a strange man. He wore a midnight black cloak, katars in both his hands gleaming dangerously in the light which were almost invisible to the eye under the cloaks sleeves. He glanced in horror as he saw his mother stabbed right underneath her jaw as the blade pertruded through her skull. Enwah stood there almost motionless as he began quaking in fear, watching helplessly as his mother fell to the floor. His father and the thief were almost evenly matched as he saw the flashes of blades against each other until suddenly a flash appeared. His father had cast a spell, disorienting the Assassin as he landed a savage blow. The thief was flown through the air and crashed on the table shattering it into tiny splinters. As Enwah stood there, his father ran toward him with a worried expression on his face. His father held him lovingly as tears ran down his face. Enwah knew that his mother was dead, but what of the Assassin, why had he attacked? Suddenly a maniacle laughter eminated throughout the room. Then what happened next he would never forget. Blood suddenly was spewed across Enwahs face. He saw the glint of a blade go through his fathers back and out through the front of his chest. The Assassin stood there and said "Fool, you think you merely beat me with such a little blow and now I have killed you for your ignorance. Now go walk the starry road like your whore of a wife has." The Assassin almost didn't notice the little toggler standing before him until the body fell to the floor. Enwahs stood there frozen in fear once more, but knew he should run yet couldnt. Enwah stood there as the assassin walked towards him with a glare. Finally Enwah got his body to move, but he was nearly too late as the as the jumped at him. Enwah grabbed his toy shortbow and drew it. The Assassin continued his persuit on him.. As he loaded an arrow into the bow, he aimed and fired almost instantly knocking the thief to the ground. The thief laughed in pain as he coughed up blood. He then said "You will pay dearly for that. Your mother and father were easy to slay. It was like taking candy from a baby as you are boy!" Slowly Enwahs temper was rising as he gazed down at his hands, crying quietly to himself as the Assassin rose. Suddenly the thief drew his katar and moved with such speed it was a blur. Enwah began to shake in anger. Rising up as the thief was in a death lunge at him. He then roared with the ferocity of a lion and grabbed the assassin mid-air by the throat.. Enwah screamed " YOU! YOU KILLED MY PARENTS! YOU KILLED THE ONLY PEOPLE I HELD DEAR TO ME! WHY!" The Assassins legs were buckling wildly in the air as his vice-like grip maintained its hold. Then grinning evilly at the Assassin, he picked up his fathers blade. The thief kicked him hard in the chest trying to break free. The kick was like nothing to him he was so confined to his hate and anger. The Assassin let loose a scream as the blade began to enter his chest. His arms flailed as he put his hands up to stop it, but to no avail as Enwah roared in anger, killing the Assassin as the blade entered his. The Assassins body dropped in Enwahs hand as his rage subsided. He stood in the middle of the room, standing in the pools of blood from his mother and father. He wept for them, not quite knowing what he would do. Next he went over to his mother trying to wake her. "Please mother wake up, oh god please wake up! I can't be alone in the world, I'm not ready! Enwah sobbed, but suddenly heard his mother and fathers voice. He looked up with his bloodshot eyes to see a ghostly image of both his parents standing before him. His mother then put her corporal hand on his shoulder. Enwah then said "Mother, please don't leave me. I love you. Please father, I'm not strong enough" His mother looked at him sadly as did his father. Then his they both said "Enwah my son, we love you dearly and you will make it through this time, not just for me but for the both of us. Just know we love you and will always be there for you. As they began to fade a single tear ran down his mothers cheek. He heard his fathers voice once more as his image faded away completely "You must leave here, you're in grave danger. I've not much time, but you will learn once you grow older what has happened to us and why. You must be protected, so flee! Enwah shouted " No, No please don't leave me!" As the voice of his father faded he stood up unsure dazed in confusion, stumbling as he walked toward the door. Just then he felt an almost unbearable sense exhaustion as all his anger and fear drifted away. He then began to fall to the floor seemingly unaware what was happening. As he lay on the floor unable to move he drifted into unconciousness. He suddenly awoke to someone tapping him on the shoulder. "My dear boy what has happened here?" Enwahs eyes adjusted to the light as he stood up slowly to see an old man standing before him. He had wrinkled skin, but wore a red mages robe and held a cane that seemed to eminate from it an unknown power. Within the blood red ruby glowed a light blue color throughout the room. The man held him striaght looking at him with deep concern. Enwah said drowsily, "Sir, this Assassin attacked my family, yet I don't remember much of what happened. All I know is I walked in while it happened and saw both my parents die." The old man motioned to a guard who took Enwah into custody. "Son you've done nothing wrong, but you must have been in for the fight of your life. We must know whats happened here for not just your wll being, but for everyone else who lives in this town."

The guard took Enwah out, nearly running with him. As he passed people they seemed almost afraid because of the blood that stained his clothes. Eventually they made it to the town hall where he sat silently for what seemed like an eternity. As the sun began to fall in the sky he then saw once again the old man before him. "Boy we must get you out of here immediately. This assassin was from the high city of Valroth I can't explain much more." As he grabbed the Enwahs arm he he drew a longsword from his scabberd. To Enwahs asonishment it was his fathers..the blade he slew the assassin with. The mage then glanced at him as they began to walk. "This sword....your father would have wanted you to have it." Questions began to flow through Enwahs head. How did he know my father? Why does he care for me so much? Does he know me some how? He then asked " Did you know my parents well?" The old man stopped for a moment in silence almost as if thinking of what to say. "Yes, I knew them well actually. As you know they were Mages, but theres many things they kept secret. My boy your mother and father knew things-things only the most important people of our world have. Yet now you must focus on getting far away from here. I'll tell you more some day, but for now it must wait for danger is not far behind us." Then Enwah asked one more thing. "What is your name?" The old man smiled, then said "My name is Ulthgaar. Lad let's go." He then gave Enwah his fathers sword, and scabbard. He attached it to his waist drawing the blade. It was a light tinted blue, with serrated edges meant to cut, not puncture. It was surprisingly light to hold, making even one of the weakest people able to wield it easily. Enwah slid it back into the scabbard quickly and was ready to leave. The old man rushed him outside as a carriage rolled into view. The old man entered and pulled Enwah inside. We have a 4 day journey ahead of us. We're headed to Crossing where you will be left where I can find you. Until then you will be safe. The journey was a long and hard one as he sat there. Ulthgaar and him talked several times, Enwah always asking questions, curious about a variety of things, but mainly about his parents. To be continued....
