Therae says, "This used to be a song of intoxicated sailors, but given the behavior of the rangers at the latest Grand Gathering ..." Therae says, "I dedicate this song to Mestralle, Mobelia, Periwinkle, Snare, Axegore, and all the other drunken rangers at the Third Great Grand Gathering."

(Therae Whistles a jaunty sea shanty as he begins to clap his hands and tap his feet in time to a vigorous dance)

Therae sings:

   "Tap ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, stomp, stomp, stomp
    Tap ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, stomp, stomp, stomp
    Tap ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, ta-da-tap, stomp, stomp, stomp
Tap, tap, tap, tap, stomp, stomp."

Therae does a happy little dance!

Therae sings:

   "Hey!"

Therae sings:

"What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
     At the Great Grand Gatherin'?"

Therae sings:

"First I'll sing of the flirting rangeress
slinky dress and roving eyes now
but her lover is the bottle
     At the Great Grand Gathering"

Therae sings:

"Make her skin snowbeas' till she's sober
make her practice skinnin' o'er and over
Drunken pelts are oh so poor now
      At the Great Grand Gatherin."

Therae sings:

"What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
     At the Great Grand Gatherin'?"

Therae helplessly sings:

   "Him scout about his desert
Drink and watch the shifting sands now
Is that a mirage or is it liquor?
     At the Great Grand Gathering."

(Mobelia stomps her feet and claps her hands)

Therae sings:

"Put a silver spoon upon her forehead
put another spoon upon her nose and
put five more about her head now
     at the Great Grand Gathering"

Therae sings:

"What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
     At the Great Grand Gatherin'?"

Therae sings:

"Buy another drink for ol' Treveri
buy another round and get him talking
Hope that Trev' will say the wrong thing
     At the Great Grand Gathering"

Therae sings:

"Try to count 'em but there are to many
     turn around and find another
'just the count and one gets lost now
     At the Great Grand Gathering."

Therae sings:

"What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
What do ya do with a drunken ranger?
     At the Great Grand Gatherin'?"

Therae sings:

"Buy another drink in case they're sober
     Keep the rangers drunk forever
     Rangers all inebriated
     At the Great Grand Gathering."

Therae sings:

"What do we do with the drunken rangers
What shall we do with the drunken rangers
Don't complain because they had the most fun
     At the Great Grand Gathering"

Mobelia applauds. Mobelia throws her head back and howls, sounding remarkably like a real wolf! Mobelia hoots, sounding remarkably like a real owl. Therae says, "Sorry about that folks, but Mobelia asked for it. I'm not the troupe of the four winds, I'm the lousy warm-up act" Therae bows.

Your mind hears Nimuen thinking, "Concert at Bearholt's - 6 steps and the twisting trail from the NE gate - come see the infamous Troupe of the Four Winds!"

Dreamheart asks, "So, audience, are you ready for the Troupe of the Four Winds?" Firannion exclaims, "Ready for anything!" Dreamheart exclaims, "Then, without any more delays, I give you the Troupe of the Four Winds!"

(Nimuen slides over to the stage, leaving a trail of drinks up to it for Bladeworthy, Eileethan, Firannion, Landru and Trul.)

Firannion says, "We will start with a traditional Calling-On Song, sung a cappella." (Eileethan puts Nimuen down next to Firannion) Nimuen leans on Firannion. Firannion says, "And hopefully in harmony." Firannion giggles. Nimuen says, "We'll try, anyway." Firannion asks, "Ready?" Eileethan glances at Firannion. Firannion raises an eyebrow. Eileethan gnaws on his lip. Eileethan nods. Firannion nods.

A chorus of voices join with Firannion's leading soprano as she sings:

"Good people pray heed our petition
Your attention we beg and we crave
And if you are inclined for to listen
An abundance of pastime we'll have"

A chorus of voices join with Firannion's leading soprano as she sings:

"We are come to relate many stories
    Concerning our forefathers' time
And we trust they will drive out your worries
Of this we are all in one mind"

A chorus of voices join with Firannion's leading soprano as she sings:

"Many tales of the poor and the gentry
Of labor and love will arise
There are no finer songs in this country
    In Illithi and Theren likewise"

A chorus of voices join with Firannion's leading soprano as she sings:

"There's just one thing more needing mention
The dancers will dance all in fun
And now that you've heard our intention
We'll play on to the beat of the drum"

Firannion grins. Firannion points at Bladeworthy. Bladeworthy smiles. Bladeworthy stands up.

Nimuen exclaims, "Ladies and gentlement... our first player, Bladeworthy the Unw...the melodious!"

Nimuen ducks her head.

Bladeworthy says, "Hiya folks. I'm feeling pretty good about myself, so tonight you get the self-absorbed Bladeworthy set."

(Eileethan starts to clap, glances at Nimuen, then continues to clap) (Bladeworthy winks back at the troupe.)

Bladeworthy says, "In the Haberdashery Bladeworthy Epochal"

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"Buskin' one day alone on a street
A dazzling trader I chanced to meet
I wore a grin, put a bow to my strings
She remarked,"Hear how sweetly he sings?"
Then looked at me in a funny way
I'd only expected a tip that day."

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"For me she had a further design
To be her escort dolled up so fine
For a premie ball that very night
Expensively dressed I'd look just right.
    No time fast in haberdashery
She squinted hard trying clothes on me."

Bladeworthy is shaking in his boots!

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"Pointed to a single pointy shoe
I asked, "What on Elanth does that thing do?"
"Put them on your feet," she said
"Pardon ma'm, I'd much rather be dead.""

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"Next some knickers to my knees
"No thanks madam, I like the breeze."
My chain shirt just had to go
Quite frankly now, I told her no."

Bladeworthy plays futilely with his hair.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"No again to the green plumed hat
Wide brims make my hips look fat
No to that makeup in a can
I want to look like a man."

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"She plump gave up on her silly Bard
With kilt too short and muscles too hard.
    I guess never a trader I'll be
I wouldn't trade it fer bein' me!"

Bladeworthy preens. Someone's pleased with himself! (Bladeworthy flexews, his chest looks tougher than chainmail!)

Nimuen says, "Bladeworthy is going to have to run, so he'll give us another one or two..."

Bladeworthy says, "Alright, fer this song I'll have a female chorus helping heap praise on me." Bladeworthy grins. Bladeworthy says, "Just another advantage of being a Bard." Bladeworthy begins his Bardic performance for his audience.

Bladeworthy smiles back at the jamming percussion and begins snapping his fingers to the beat and bobbing his head.

As Landru pounds his black ironwood bones, a fierce march thunders through the air with a flash of ruffles and flourishes.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

   "From the very beginning
    Yes, from the very start
No one was willing to teach me
    No none ready to impart,"

Bladeworthy says, "Lounge Lizard"

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"That singing's the wisdom of life
But I'm not a very smart man
    Song's vision escape's me
    How easily it can!"

You listen with appreciation as Landru plays a flashy cadence with a brilliantly executed ruffle.

Trul's soprano, Nimuen's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Bladeworthy's baritone as he sings:

"I'm nothing but a louunnnggge Lizard!
But don't say it to no one tonight,
Nothing more than a louunnnggge lizzzard!
But I think that that's allright!"

With a brilliantly executed ruffle, Landru beats a flashy cadence erecting a wall of sound.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

   "Baby, don't leave me stranded
No don't you look at me that way
    Pretending I'm not before you
Listen up, I got something to say"

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

   "Pounding my music with presence
    Pounding it out with glee
Don't try to deny my apearance
'Cause you don't like the looks of me!"

Erecting a wall of sound, a flashy cadence rumbles from Landru's black ironwood bones.

Bladeworthy smiles a huge toothy grin at the audience.

Trul's soprano, Nimuen's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Bladeworthy's baritone as he sings:

"I'm just a lowly louunnnggge Lizard!
But don't say it to no one tonight,
Not much but a louunnnggge lizzzard!
    They don't know it's allright!"

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"My music ain't the best, not even close babe,
But I got somethin' they can't touch
A heart and a soul, a wandering soul,
Yes a wandering soul! Oh that's too much."

Erecting a wall of sound, a flashy cadence rumbles from Landru's black ironwood bones. Bladeworthy smiles at each of you as he wanders through the tables slowly. Bladeworthy grins at Landru.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"I got the rhythm in my fingers,
    All quiverin' with immaculate beat,
Can't deny that I got rythym,
From my brain down to my feet."

Bladeworthy returns to the stage and resumes snapping and gyrating his hips to the beat. As Landru beats his black ironwood bones, a flashy cadence rumbles through the air with a blurring explosion of movement.

Trul's soprano, Nimuen's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Bladeworthy's baritone as he sings:

"I'm just a lowly louunnnggge Lizard!
Don't look at my funny that way,
Not much but a louunnnggge lizzzard!
Music says all that I got to say!"

Adding an intricate counter-beat Landru beats a flashy cadence on his black ironwood bones.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"So here you are listenin to me
    Hoping that something you'll learn
    Something 'bout being a lizard
    For this you'll eternally yearn."

Adding an intricate counter-beat Landru beats a flashy cadence on his black ironwood bones.

Bladeworthy sings in a baritone voice:

"Can't say it's the greatest of lives
But it seems to fit me just fine
And all who want to be like me
    Form a single file line!"

Bladeworthy winks at Trul. Bladeworthy points at a narrow door. Dreamheart chuckles. Trul's soprano, Nimuen's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Bladeworthy's baritone as he sings:

"Look at me, I'm a louunnnggge Lizard!
You can be just like me some day,
    A wholly bonefied louunnnggge lizzzard!
Music says all that I got to say!"

Landru smiles as he lines up behind Bladeworthy Bladeworthy bows. Bladeworthy exclaims, "Thankye! Yer all great!"

Nimuen says, "All right... we're temporarily short an Eileethan..." Nimuen says, "Which puts Landru on the spot." Nimuen says, "Oh...er, I can't spell. One moment - this puts -Firannion- on the spot." Firannion asks, "Oh, it's my turn?" Bladestump chuckles. Firannion ponders. Landru says, "oh fer pity's sake" Therae says, "Somebody sing"

Nimuen exclaims, "Ladies and gentlement - the talented, the sardonic, and the lovely Firannion of the Troupe of Four Winds!"

Firannion says, "All right, I think I'll stick with the comic vein for the moment." Firannion says, "The dreaded Boobrie Song." Firannion curtsies.

Firannion says, "And now for a lesson in the natural history of Elanthia."

(Firannion produces a mysterious object resembling two shortened telescopes joined together, holds it up to her eyes and scans the audience.)

Firannion says, "No, this is not a sacred talisman of the Moon Mage Guild, but a clever device called "binoculars" which is most useful in observing the avifauna of the Realms."

Firannion says, "I have been spending some time of late in the foul swamps to the east of Riverhaven, the home of a most unusual and inordinately cranky feathered creature known as the boobrie."

(Firannion tucks the binoculars away in a pocket of her pack.)

Firannion says, "If you have not yet had the misfortune to make this bird's acquaintance, here are a few facts you should know about its nasty habits."

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"Gather round and hear me sing
    You who go adventuring
And I'll share some good advice that I have heard
    If adventure you will seek
    Then beware the baleful beak
Of our fancy-feathered friend, the boobrie bird"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"If you're going for a romp
    In the noisome Zaulfung swamp
Look around and soon the boobrie you will spy
    You will doubtless be impressed
    By her shining feathered crest
And her long sharp beak is sure to catch your eye"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "The boobrie-O, the boobrie-O
    She treats the traveler rudely-O
Because she has forgotten how to fly
    To alleviate her pique
She would gladly stick her beak
In your arm or in your leg or in your eye!"

Firannion winces.

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "She's a most unpleasant sort
And her temper it is short
For she wishes she could bid this place goodbye
    She detests her habitat
    But she can't accomplish that
Because she has forgotten how to fly"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "Her sharp stiletto bill
Goes through leather like a drill
It'll slash your flesh to ribbons like a knife
She can pierce vambrace or greave
Like it was a lacy sleeve
Then the hungry bird will drain you of your life"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "The boobrie-O, the boobrie-O
    She treats the traveler rudely-O
Because she has forgotten how to fly
    To alleviate her pique
She would gladly stick her beak
In your arm or in your leg or in your eye!"

(Firannion executes a reasonable facsimile of the boobrie's mating dance.) Firannion paces back and forth. Firannion ducks her head. Firannion ducks her head. Firannion ducks her head. Firannion flails her arms about. Firannion preens. Someone's pleased with herself! Firannion cackles like a lunatic! Firannion begins flapping her arms around wildly.

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "When Faenella made the birds
    Too melodious for words
Her holy favor passed the boobrie by
    Who among us wouldn't squawk
If we always had to walk
Knowing that our dear old grannies used to fly?"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "Mother boobrie tells her brood,
"'Tis your birthright to be rude
After all, you cannot fly and cannot sing."
Hear her egg her nestlings on:
    "Just remember when I'm gone
You could poke somebody's eye out with that thing!""

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "The boobrie-O, the boobrie-O
    She treats the traveler rudely-O
Because she has forgotten how to fly..."

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"So take heed of what I speak
And be careful what you seek
    Don't imagine that she's weak
Or expect her to be meek
    Though her plumage is unique
    Being flightless, she's a freak
    To alleviate her pique
She would gladly stick her beak
In your arm or in your leg or in your eye!"

Firannion grins like an idiot. Firannion curtsies.

Nimuen says, "Next up, our very own gentleman of virtue - Eileethan, with "There Be Zombies!"

Eileethan says, "Now, i'll admit i've not sung this in a while...tho tis amusingly still true..."

Eileethan grins like an idiot. Eileethan clears his throat.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Listen my friends
    To my short tale
    Of shades and spirits
    -- some born of ale"

Eileethan gets a mug of zombie's revenge from inside his web cocoon.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Among the Realms
    I kid you not
    I've seen a few
    Of this strange lot"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "They walk or sit
    And ply their trade
    To earn their keep
    Of profits made"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Yet with a glance
    Or query long
    You'll note their trance
    What has gone wrong?"

Eileethan raises an eyebrow. Eileethan looks about with a puzzled expression on his face.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "And what is this?
    Are they asleep?
    Or are they dead
    And should I weep..."

Eileethan winks.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Oh! How can it be...
    Why don't you answer me?
I tickle and wave and call your name
Please don't ignore me - is this some game?"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "One such gent
    I came apon
    His wisdom sent
    My thoughts anon"

Eileethan ponders.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "I'd met a lass
    Who winked at me
    I asked of him
    "What does she see?"

Eileethan shrugs.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "With strength he mashed
    His mortar strong
    Crush< Crush< I heard
    It echoed on..."

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "I thanked him and
    His silent lore
    Then failed to stand
    -- too much I bore"

Eileethan wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "With strength he mashed
    His pestle strong
    "Crush, Crush" I heard
    It echoed on..."

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Oh! How can it be...
    Why don't you answer me?
I tickle and wave and call your name
Please don't ignore me - is this some game?"

Eileethan smirks.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Another such lad
    I met one day
    Upon the ground
    I saw him lay"

Eileethan points down.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Five creatures apon him
    And yet he did say
    - "Nae thank you my friend,
       I am okay..."

Eileethan glances about with concern on his face.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Now puzzled was I
    And gave him no aid
    Quick did he die
    And yet he still bade"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "With strong voice aloud
    In that ghostly way
    - "Nae thank you my friend,
       I am okay..."

Eileethan slaps his forehead!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Oh! How can it be...
    Why don't you answer me?
I tickle and wave and call your name
Please don't ignore me - is this some game?"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"Now I know not my friends
    Of ghosties and things
    That's for good Clerics
    And strong Paladins"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "Yet zombies there are
    Not bad now I think
    That play at the bar
    With hand on a drink"

Eileethan just hugged a mug of zombie's revenge!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "If they do not speak
    Tis not from a funk
    It's not what you think
    Quite simply - they're drunk!"

Eileethan chuckles. Eileethan points at himself.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

   "I'll sing them a song
    With hand on a cup
    I shout out a toast
    Which ends with "Drink up!"

Eileethan grins. Eileethan takes a sip of his revenge. Eileethan jumps back a few feet and lands on his rump, looking dazed! Eileethan falls to the ground laughing hysterically! Eileethan hiccups. Eileethan rises to a kneeling position. Eileethan leaps to his feet! Eileethan bows.

Nimuen asks, "We've had the lounge stylings of Bladeworthy, the mating dance of Firannion, the zombified Eileethan... what's next, you ask?" Nimuen grins. Nimuen says, "The one, the only, the..." Nimuen exclaims, "Landru!"

Landru says, "I believe it's time ta change tha tone jes a bit..." Landru says, "this one goes out ta tha happy couple" Landru says, "ya know who ya are" Landru winks at Serrenn. Serrenn chuckles. Landru winks at Jamalyn.

Landru says, "This song is entitled "A Love Song"."

With consummate skill, Landru plinks a gentle lullaby with an amazing display of dexterity.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"She came to me,made me aware.
When I'm in need, she's always there.
    And I need her.
It hurts me so to see her cry
I just turn away and hide my eyes.
    Still I need her."

(Landru gently caresses the strings of his lute.)

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "Someday, maybe if I'm lucky
    She will need me, too
But for now, lass, just remember
    That I love you."

As Landru plinks his rosewood lute, a gentle lullaby drifts through the air with a sweet melodiousness.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"I feel the warmth of her embrace
Touch the softness of her face.
    And I want her.
When she holds me close at night,
    And everything feels so right
    Then I want her."

Landru sways gracefully about in an elegant dance.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "Someday, maybe if I'm lucky
    She will want me, too
But for now, lass, just remember
    That I love you."

With an amazing display of dexterity, a gentle lullaby drifts from Landru's rosewood lute.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"She smiles from every mountain stream.
The wind speaks softly of her name
    'Cause I love her.
    Whenever she is laying there,
The moonbeams playing off her hair,
    I love her"

(Landru closes his eyes, lost in a gentle reverie.)

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "Someday, maybe if I'm lucky
    She will love me, too
    Then I realize
    That you do..."

Landru quietly says, "...you do."

A tear runs down Landru's face. Landru bows.

Nimuen says, "Now, there's something about a love song..." Nimuen ponders.

Eileethan says, "Friends, tis wonderful to see'ee all gathered here today..." Eileethan says, "And tis my pleasure to introduce our next performer" Eileethan says, "Now, if I can just remember her name..." Nimuen glances at Eileethan. Nimuen taps her foot impatiently. Eileethan exclaims, "Oh yes!" Eileethan exclaims, "Please all give your attention to Nimuen Wavesinger!"

Nimuen says, "Thank you, thank you." Nimuen grins. Nimuen says, "There's something about a love song... well, that makes me shudder." Nimuen winks.

Trul's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Nimuen's soprano as she sings:

"I never did understand, why men stared so
At a lusty lass six feet from head to toe
My hair's not soft and golden light
My eyes don't glow soft in the night..."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"I don't wear a sweeping gown of lace
Frankly, I'd feel quite out of place
Give me leather breeches soft and supple
And studded armor that I can buckle..."

Nimuen adjusts her suede breeches. Nimuen rubs a silver bodice dagger with an onyx hilt.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"I don't blink my eyelashes, so
And I never did understand the glow
Others paint upon their fair cheeks
Like they were less than complete..."

Nimuen bats her eyelashes. Nimuen crosses her eyes. Trul's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Nimuen's soprano as she sings:

"I never did understand, why men stared so
At a lusty lass six feet from head to toe
My language is hardly sweet and kind
And I've been known to speak my mind..."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Since I'd rather a friend than a wooer dear
For all those times a friend is better near
    Through danger and travels weary
And darkened taverns full of disentary..."

Nimuen grins. Nimuen says, "I keep meaning to change that line..."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"A man who has his mind fixed on your love
Won't think to look down or above
And when you most need a hand
He's off shopping for the wedding band..."

Nimuen flails her arms about. Trul's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Nimuen's soprano as she sings:

"I never did understand, why men stared so
At a lusty lass six feet from head to toe
    I'd rather a swagger than a sway
And I'd rather fight than dance away..."

Nimuen shrugs. Nimuen grins.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"But if you must stare and must woo
    Do whatever you must do
Just know this from a lusty lass
You'll end up knocked upon your..."

Nimuen coughs. Nimuen coughs. Nimuen says, "Oh my, throat dry again..." Nimuen grins. Therae offers Nimuen a pint of amber ale. Nimuen accepts Therae's amber ale. Nimuen winks at Therae. Nimuen takes a sip of her ale.

Nimuen exclaims, "From lusty lass to lass that truly inspires lust... ladies and gentlemen, the incomparable Trul!"

(Trul stands before you motionless, her eyes closed, breathing slowly... deeply... From behind her, a slow ballad begins to emanate from Eileethan's Lyre.)

(Trul's eyes open as she begins to sing.)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I saw her dance in Langen
    With flowers in her hair
    Moving as a shimmering breeze
    And then she wasn't there."

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I happened through the ruin's once
    Playing on my bones
Looked up and caught a glimpse of her
    Dancing 'mid the stones"

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "I say she's but a myth"
    "Nae, I say, "she's real"
"I say, "she must be crazy,
That's just the way I feel."

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"But what is this that's done it,
What's made her act so strange?"
Ah! but that's the easy part,
There is a man to blame."

(Trul sways gently to the music as she sings.)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"And she sways atop the mountains
    She moves upon the hills
    Where he leads she follows
As if she has no will"

Trul smiles.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "He moves about her softly
    Whispering on the wind
And the way he feels against her
Is like magic on her skin"

Trul quivers.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "He rages deep within her
    A passion yet untamed
She dances in his arms at night....
    And music is his name"

(Trul grows still, her eyes falling closed as she tilts her head to one side, listening. A soft smile crosses her lips as Eileethan starts to drum an ancient rhythm on the face of his painted lyre.)

(Trul 's feet begin to move in concert with the intoxicating patter as if commanded by the beat.)

(Trul 's supple form begins to sway from side to side, flowing with the rhythm of the music as she begins to dance in slow, lazy circles.)

(Trul dances faster her bare feet interpreting the music as they tap an intricate pattern into the stage.)

Trul smiles at you, pauses to change direction... her dress curling softly around her legs.

(Trul throws her head back and laughs with glee as the tempo grows ever faster.)

(Trul arches her neck and closes her eyes, her countenance becoming passion defined as she lifts her arms over her head and dances with total abandon.)

(Trul flows with the thrumming as she spins faster and faster, her form becoming a blur as the intense patter of the drumming crescendos, thundering violently across the stage before abruptly coming to a halt.)

(Trul falls to her knees, hair spilling over her shoulders and across her face. The sound of a lyre being strummed gently rises quietly behind her.)

(Trul slowly raises her head.)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "He moves about her softly
    Whispering on the wind
And the way he feels against her
    Is magic on her skin"

Trul smiles longingly as the music stills. Her eyes slowly flutter shut as she sings a cappella as soft as a whisper...

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "He rages within her
    A passion yet untamed
And she dances in his arms at night.....
    And music is his name"

(Trul stands back up) Trul curtsies.

Therae bows to Seugallus. Phaedra smiles. Eileethan nods to Seugallus. Syrani guzzles down some of her ale and then smacks her lips and wipes them with her sleeve. Landru says, "it would be me pleasure" Seugallus blinks at Therae. Kynthi smiles at Seugallus. Nimuen asks, "If no one objects to a few dedications?" Seugallus smiles at Therae. Nimuen smiles out at the audience. Trynie grins. Trynie says, "Not at all" Mobelia applauds. Firannion smiles at Nimuen. Eileethan stands near Landru. Eileethan bows to Seugallus. Ayrianna takes a sip of her stout. Trynie just hugged Larisah. Frizalda entered a narrow door. Trul nods. Seugallus says, "Praise tends to embarass me....but I won't deny you your song." Nimuen stands near Landru. Seugallus smiles. Larisah smiles. Seugallus says, "Let me hear the voices one last time." Firannion asks, "Need a chorus, Landru?"

With a slight lift of the shoulders Landru plays an aimless carol on his black ironwood flute.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"The clouds, they are hanging low
The mist is slowly rolling in
There's a boat out on the lake
Waiting for the rain to begin"

(Landru plays a tranquil melody inspiring peace in your soul.)

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "It's all so peaceful here.
In the quiet of some misty evening,
    A different kind of understanding.
One that comes from up above
Or maybe from the confines of
    A tranquil state of mind."

With the skill of a master ollave, Landru plays an aimless carol floating the notes across the air.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"Although for days I have not eaten
    My hunger is fulfilled
By these mountains that surround me
    And the legends they unfold."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"These tall pines whisper to me
Through the rain that begins to fall.
    They take my worries
And fill the whole of my existence."

(Landru 's song instills in you a sense of communion with the world around you.)

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "It's all so peaceful here.
In the quiet of some misty evening,
    A different kind of understanding.
One that comes from up above
Or maybe from the confines of
    A tranquil state of mind."

Seugallus stares at Landru. You listen with appreciation as Landru plays an aimless carol with the skill of a master ollave. Seugallus smiles.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"I'm flying high above the treetops
These mountains seem to beckon me.
    I accept their new religion
Which guides me toward the sun."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"As I break through the clouds
    My eyes are opened
To the coming of the dawn."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"Far below me the world awakens.
Send my blessing to those mountains.
    Tell my lover..."

Landru quietly says, "...I am gone." Landru smiles quietly as the final note fades into silence.

Nimuen says, "If you all can stand another soft song or two..." Nimuen smiles. Nimuen says, "We promise to get back to public drunkeness eventually." Nimuen grins.

Firannion says, "All right, this is a traditional song, from a lass's point of view, about leaving a familiar place to follow one's heart."

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"Come all ye maids who live at a distance
      Many miles from your swain
Come now and lend me your assistance
For to pass away some time
    Singing sweetly and completely
Songs of pleasure and of love
For my heart is with him altogether
Though I live not where I love"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"When I sleep I dream about him
When I wake I find no rest
For every moment thinking of him
My heart affixed in his breast
    Although far distance brings assistance
From the mind love to remove
Yet my heart is with him altogether
Though I live not where I love"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"All the world shall be one religion
Living things shall cease to die
Before I prove false to my jewel
Or any way my love deny
The world will change and be most strange
If ever I my mind remove
For my heart is with him altogether
Though I live not where I love"

Firannion smiles wistfully at the thought that this song, at least, has a happy ending.

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"So farewell lads and farewell lasses
Now I think I have my choice
I will away to yonder mountain
Where I think I hear his voice
And if he calls then I will follow
Through the world so wide to rove
For my heart is with him altogether
Though I live not where I love"

Firannion curtsies.

Nimuen says, "While we're all - well, except for Mistress Blood & Guts..." Nimuen winks. Nimuen says, "In a sentimental mood, I think we can manage one more before we all get drunk and merry again." Nimuen says, "Especially if it comes from Trul." Nimuen smiles.

Trul says, "this is a song I wrote during the big migration when we all lost so many friends and lovers"

Trul says, "is it called "Friendship gone by""

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"Thoughts of you bring smiles with memories
of times of living wild and fancy free
time has a way of dimming things
and distance makes you think that it's all dreams."

(Trul sways gently to the music as she sings)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"But in my mind, I see your faces
in my eyes, I turn back the pages
and in my heart, I feel the traces
     of friendship gone by
     of friendship gone by."

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"Everyone has times in their lives
when thay must break away and make new ties
people they will come and they will go
and loving sometimes means letting go."

Trul rubs Seugallus gently. (Trul closes her eyes, and you notice a tear slowly slip from her eye)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"But in my mind, I see your faces
in my eyes, I turn back the pages
and in my heart, I feel the traces
     of friendship gone by
     of friendship gone by"

Trul smiles softly at you as she sings.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"Life has a way of going on
one day you're here the next you're gone
Moving on I do not regret
and my time with you I'll never forget..."

Seugallus quietly says, "I should have been a Bard...." Trul inhales a great swallow of air. Seugallus sighs.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"For in my mind, I see your faces
in my eyes, I turn back the pages
and in my heart, I feel the traces
     of friendship gone by
     as friendship goes by......"

Trul just hugged Seugallus. Trul curtsies.

Nimuen asks, "All right... and as all bards must, it's time to get merry. Eileethan, will you do the honors?" Eileethan exclaims, "With pleasure!" Eileethan gets a flagon of honey mead from inside his web cocoon. Eileethan guzzles down some of his mead and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve. Eileethan exclaims, "Lets let Baearholt Serve'm up! And lets talk about this here thing called booz!" Eileethan guzzles down some of his mead and then smacks his lips and wipes them with his sleeve.

Eileethan begins his Bardic performance for his audience.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"A pint of ale never saved the day
Tho dulls the pain as most will say
Some rum in fact is better still
Sure beats low cost and cheapest swill..."

Eileethan tucks his thumbs under his belt. Eileethan dances a lively jig!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"A keg of mead can numb the mind
To me i'd not have another kind
Beer is good tho fills the bladder
As long as i'm drunk - it doesn't matter..."

Eileethan spins around! Eileethan wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"Wine can make an ev'nin grand
A fantastic night can come unplanned
Grog tho tastes of stronger stuff
Don't drink to fast or'ee end on your duff!"

Eileethan staggers carelessly around the room spilling some of his drink - just missing you!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"Brandy yet can spin your wheels
    Just careful'ee don't trip o'er heels
Moonshine is quick to light you up
    Don't take a full mug or e'en a cup!"

Eileethan pulls another tall mug of rum from the bar and downs as much of it as he can in one shot! Eileethan hiccups.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"Whiskey now - whoah! That burns my nose!
You drink it to fast it blows off your hose
Spiked punch I know it packs a whallop
Can make your pants take off at a gallop..."

Eileethan rubs his eyes. Eileethan stares out at you with glassy eyes while wearin a silly grin.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"Scotch and ice can make'ee sing
And how a drunk voice'll make'ee ear ring!
Champagne has bubbles tha can start a giggle
Startin our tummy's to shake and to jiggle..."

Eileethan tries to remain standing to sing another verse. Eileethan blinks. Eileethan falls over. Eileethan slowly empties his lungs. Eileethan cheerfully says, "Ok...tha's all..."

Nimuen says, "Well, so much for my next song - I'm not trying to match htat." Nimuen grins. Nimuen says, "So, let's see..." Landru asks, "how bout an ol' realm favorite?" Nimuen says, "Just so Seugallus doesn't feel -too- bad about travelling..." Nimuen says, "Women, Troupe and otherwise - would you join me for "The Men of the Realms?"" Firannion smiles at Nimuen. Mobelia throws her head back and howls, sounding remarkably like a real wolf! Nimuen grins. Branwen throws her head back and howls! Firannion ponders the men of the Realms. Ayrianna giggles. Firannion smirks.

Nimuen says, "If you haven't heard this one... well... " Nimuen says, "The title says it all."

Trynie's soprano, Dreamheart's alto, Trul's soprano and Firannion's soprano join with Nimuen's soprano as she sings:

"Oh, I'm a tall lass with a spark in my eye
It's not something I'll try to deny
But given my choice and given my ken
I'll have naught to do with lusty men..."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"I tried it once, or twice, or thrice
And each time I threw those dice
They'd come up with the pips all wrong
And why, well, that's the song..."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"My first foray was a dashing rogue
He was sweet and he was bold
But I found his hands in another's pockets
And he wasn't trying to unlock it."

Nimuen glances down at her pocket, then at a shadowy type near the bar with a cheerful growl.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"My second, well, he was a paladin dear
He held Hodernia's grace quite near
A bit too near if you must ask
Removing his armor proved too hard a task."

Nimuen mimes buckles, and joins, and more buckles... then flails her arms in despair.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Ah, but my moon mage so kind and wise
He was forever staring in my eyes
Until the day I realized his affection
Was due to their good reflection."

Nimuen gets some spidery copper-rimmed spectacles from inside her lockpick case. Nimuen gently buffs her spectacles.

Nimuen says, "Well, not much, anyway." Nimuen winks.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Need I tell you of my lonesome ranger?
With him there was never any danger
Of losing to him my fondest heart
For he was lost right from the start."

Nimuen puts her hand over her eyes and scans the room, looking for something. After a thorough search, she puts her hand on the bar and hits her beer. Nimuen says, "Oh! That's where it was."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Oh, the barbarian was simply a mess
He was looking for a maid in distress
And when it turned out I'd a sword of my own
He took his muscles and left me alone."

Trul says, "well" Trul says, "since we are talking about drunk bards" Trul says, "here is one last Trul song" Trul says, "about that very subject"

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I am as much of a bard, as a bard can be
As is my Mother and Da before me
But there seems to be something wrong I think
I cannot seem to hold the drink."

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"My Da he sat me down one night
he on my left, mom on my right
He gave me a cup and a sausy wink
And said "tonight is the night you learn how to drink.""

Trul's eyes bug out!

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"He lined em all up, three glasses of gin
And when mine was empty...he'd fill it again
I began to feel all dizzy and strange
I pushed back my glass and I exclaimed..."

Trul crosses her eyes.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "Da! Da! I'm getting drunk
    I cannot feel my toes!
"Nonsense lass, you're never too drunk
If you can touch your finger to your nose.""

(Trul closes her eyes)

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I closed my eyes and concentrated
     stretched my arm out wide
With confidence I brought it back
And poked me in the eye!"

Trul cringes. Trul exclaims, "Ouch!"

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "Da! Da! I'm very drunk
    So drunk I cannot see!
"Nonsence lass, your're never too drunk
If you can see but two of me""

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I cocked my head and squinted
    Crossed one eye...then two
I said "if I kinda look down my nose this way...
You go from four to two""

Trul smiles stupidly. Trul giggles a little oddly. Trul dances a lively jig! Trul wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "Da! Da! I'm awful drunk
    I can but hardly stand
"Nonsense lass, you're never too drunk
If you can still find your arse with both hands.""

Trul frets.

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

"I closed my eyes and reached behind me...
My hands closed on two orbs of flesh
And my mom she snickered "That's not your arse"
    "Dear.... that's my chest!""

Trul shrieks!

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "Da! Da! I'm powerful drunk
    I cannot drink one more!
"Nonsense lass, you're never too drunk
If you can still hold up the floor.""

Trul spins around! Trul falls over. Trul flops over!

Trul sings in a soprano voice:

   "I staggered and I stumbled
And as I slid onto the floor
I said'Da! hand me down the bottle
    I think I'd like...one....more..."

Trul hiccups. Trul snores lightly. Trul laughs! Trul sits up. Trul stands up. Trul curtsies. Trul says, "thank you"

Nimuen says, "I think I had one too many, passing out halfway through m'song like that." Nimuen says, "Oh dear, folks... appears the Troupe's gone all silly. I reminded 'em we've used up their time and they all said... "we're just getting started!"" Nimuen says, "Something about just getting drunk enough." Nimuen asks, "Would you all be interested in just one more round?" Nimuen grins. Nimuen says, "Of songs, that is."

Landru recites:

"This be the Young Master Trader
    By Kalandas Barat-Sur..."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"I once took a job as a coachman,
My money was paid in advance.
I then took a trip off to Haven
For a Trader who left little to chance."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"There I met a charming young Lady
Who addressed me and said with a smile,
"Young man, I'm in need of a coachman
To drive me in old fashioned style.""

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"O' She was such a charming young lady.
    A lady of highest renown,
And I being a dashing young coachman,
I drove her ten times round the town."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"She took me on down in the cellar
And filled me with whiskey so quick,
I hadn't been there many moments
When she asked for a look at my whip! "

Landru exclaims, "Me whip!" Landru rolls his eyes. Landru shakes his head.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"She held it, she viewed it a moment
And she then laid it down with a smile
'Dear man, by the look and the length of thy slash
You could drive the best part of ten mile.'"

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"O' She was such a charming young lady.
    A lady of highest renown,
And I being a dashing young coachman,
I drove her ten times round the town."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"She bid me get up to the chaise box
So I climbed right up to the seat.
Three swishes I gave with my cracker
And drove her right down the high street."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"I handled my whip with deft judgement
Until I was up to her ways
But the very first turn that I gave on the wheel
I broke the main spring on her chaise! "

Landru exclaims, "Imagine that!" Landru glances about with concern on his face.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"O' She was such a charming young lady.
    A lady of highest renown,
And I being a dashing young coachman,
I drove her ten times round the town."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"When my mistress grew tired or weary
She'd call me to stop for a rest
She'd shout for her serving-maid Sally
The girl that I loved second best."

Landru smiles knowingly, laying a finger aside his nose.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"'Sally, we've got a good coachman.
    He understands driving in style.
While the spring on my chaise is repairing,
I'll let him drive you for awhile.""

Landru smiles a cat-in-the-cream smile, as he stills the sound from his lute. His toe still taps and the song still dances in his eyes.

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

"O' She was such a charming young lady
    A lady of highest renown.
And I being a dashing young coachman..."

Landru sings in a tenor voice:

   "I drove her
           Ten Tiiiimmes Round the
                     Tooooooowwwwwwwn!"

Dreamheart says, "I remember the first time Iheard Kalandas sing that." Landru says, "it's a classic"

Nimuen asks, "Eilee? Will you restore some decorum to the proceedings?" Nimuen asks, "Or make it worse?" Nimuen grins. Firannion scoffs at Nimuen. Trul laughs! Firannion asks, "Decorum?" Trynie asks, "Eilee? Restore decorum?" Trynie babbles incoherently. Eileethan exclaims, "Decorum! Decorum! Heck NO!" Therae asks, "How dare you suggest such a thing, Nimuen?" Eileethan cackles! Mobelia grins at Therae. Trul lets out a hearty cheer for Eileethan! Therae glares at Nimuen. Ayrianna lets out a loud "Huzzah!" The russet squirrel squeaks, "Larisah, I like these friends of yours. this is the most attention I've had in years" Nimuen says, "Never thought I'd see the day where -I- was the least bawdy one on the stage." Branwen exclaims, "More Rum, More Rum!" Nimuen grins. (Llywelfynn begins foraging around Kynthi's person looking for something or other... or perhaps not) Therae says, "Here you go little squirrel" Therae drops some wild corn. Branwen throws her head back and howls! Nimuen scratches the russet squirrel. Phaedra chuckles. Eileethan says, "Hey, lets all think about the decorum out there in the hunting grounds..." Branwen giggles. Trynie laughs! Cemm pats Branwen on the back. Cemm says, "Heh." You notice a russet squirrel stretch up on its hind legs to look around. Kynthi pokes Llywelfynn in the ribs. Branwen says, "Oh, you said decorum." Branwen sighs.

Eileethan begins his Bardic performance for his audience. Larisah pets the russet squirrel. (Firannion tries to appear decorous, but succeeds only in doing a pretty fair impression of Nynis.) Eileethan grins. The russet squirrel squeaks, "thanks, but I only eat grasses and acorns"

Eileethan gets some black ironwood bones inlaid with a gracefully curving band of tiny silver stars from inside his web cocoon. Branwen exclaims, "More Rum, more Rum!" Trynie beams at Eileethan! Branwen throws her head back and howls! Nimuen just tickled Branwen. Llywelfynn laughs!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"With high hopes of hunting grand
I set out off into the land
My armor strong, my sword agleam
I wished for treasure of my Dream"

Eileethan rips into a playful rhythm on his bones lending a bright beat to the song.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"I searched the vinyards by myself
I searched for battle to lead to wealth
And still there was no other soul
Until at last I stalked a Troll"

Eileethan sneaks around the room with a fierce determination on his face.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"I crept up to it, that I did
Its presence here I planned to rid
With lightning speed I moved to strike
My sword did hit with all my might"

Eileethan dances around the room, imagined blade in his hand cutting the air before him.

Firannion cowers away from Eileethan! Cemm cackles!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"It's arm was lost beneath my blade
Into the fray it now did wade
With one claw free to seek me out
I dodged and parried it's one hand bout"

Eileethan ducks his head. Eileethan leans to his left slightly.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"My efforts now I did redouble
For I was now indeed in trouble
The Troll did claw me striking sound
A gasp of pain did I resound"

Eileethan gazes down at his arm. A pained expression crosses Eileethan's face.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"With hope I slashed it's other arm
It cursed and screamed out in alarm
With no claws left to scratch me with
It's bite was now it's only gift"

Eileethan lets out a short, triumphant, "HAH!"

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"I watched the troll now all agape
It glared at me with all it's hate
Profuse it bled and and came to bite
It would not die, twas full of fight"

Eileethan braces himself for the onslaught!

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"It clamped it jaws onto my arm
It bit me good, it did me harm
How could this be, it should be dead
Yet still it lived and now I bled"

Eileethan runs around the room flailing his arms about as if being chased by a rabid Troll.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"As I stood prepared to swing
The Troll was still - did not a thing
I sighed and watched it fall to earth
It's landing then gave silence birth"

Eileethan blinks.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"With glee I searched it's fallen form
It's chest was still, it's skin still warm
I hoped of coin or gem to find
The dream was fresh within my mind"

Eileethan rubs his hands together.

Eileethan sings in a countertenor voice:

"As fate does turn it's own design
I found no coins nor gems so fine
My efforts for riches none did reap
Unless you count this rotting heap"

Eileethan grins like an idiot. Eileethan bows.

Nimuen exclaims, "Eileethan the silly, folks!" Nimuen says, "By the way, thanks to whoever tipped me so generously when I passed out drunk." Nimuen asks, "Firannion, I believe you had a drinking song to toss on the heap?"

Firannion says, "Well, that one actually reminded me of another song about rock trolls." Eileethan's performance continues. Firannion blinks at Eileethan. Firannion asks, "Are you quite finished, Eilee?" Eileethan grins. Eileethan exclaims, "Aye!" Cemm grins. Tixa hiccups. Firannion seems to be waiting for something. Trynie chuckles. (Syrani snores softly.) Eileethan leans on Firannion. Firannion just tickled Eileethan.

Firannion says, "All right then... Here's a melancholy old song of the Highlands, dedicated to all the kilt-wearers out there." Firannion asks, "May I have a chorus?" Firannion says, "Sing with me, Troupers." Eileethan stands near Firannion.

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

   "Oh the summertime is coming
And the leaves are sweetly blooming
    And the wild mountain trolls
Beat on elves and dwarves and humans
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Nimuen's soprano, Eileethan's countertenor, Syrani's mezzo-soprano and Landru's tenor join with Firannion's soprano as she sings:

   "And we'll all go together
    To kill wild mountain trolls
    All around the purple heather
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"If my Guild-mates will not go
    I will surely find another
    To kill wild mountain trolls
    All around the purple heather
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Nimuen's soprano, Eileethan's countertenor, Syrani's mezzo-soprano and Landru's tenor join with Firannion's soprano as she sings:

   "And we'll all go together
    To kill wild mountain trolls
    All around the purple heather
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Firannion sings in a soprano voice:

"I will pick my love a box
    By yon clear crystal fountain
From each troll that I kill
On the side of yonder mountain
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Nimuen's soprano, Eileethan's countertenor, Syrani's mezzo-soprano and Landru's tenor join with Firannion's soprano as she sings:

   "And we'll all go together
    To kill wild mountain trolls
    All around the purple heather
    Will ye go, laddie, go?"

Firannion says, "That one always gets me all choked up..." Firannion giggles.

Nimuen says, "All right folks... all good things must come to an end, and although I suspect you can squeeze a -few- more songs out of these folks, I'm going to sing the last official song of the concert now." Nimuen says, "Would the Troupe members sing with me? It's a lullaby of sorts, called "Gull's Wings.""

Nimuen begins her Bardic performance for her audience.

Nimuen touches her txitsu to her lips, producing a haunting cry from the whistleflute that reminds you of the cry of a gull. The sound lingers after she lowers the reed away from her lips.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Each morning I awake to the scent
Of salt and brine upon the breeze
To the kiss of the ocean's breath
The soft caress of my heart's ease."

Nimuen looks to the east, and her eyes seem to reflect something far from this ground-locked tavern.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"I rise to the sound of the waves
Crashing upon the rocks and sand
And I stretch my arms in praise
    Of great Eluned's seaborne hand."

Nimuen stretches her arms up to the sky, her eyes closing for a moment.

Nimuen says, "And I pray..."

A chorus of voices join with Nimuen's leading soprano as she sings:

"Let there always be an ocean's wind
    To carry away my dreams
On canvas sails and seagull's wings
Where nothing is as it seems."

Nimuen touches her txistu to her lips, this time evoking the steady sweep of waves against the shore. Again, the sound lingers after she begins to sing.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"I work to the touch of the zephyr
Caressing the salt of my skin
I laugh with the dance of the dolphins
The sea is without and within."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Each day I splice, and sew and sail
To the sound of the sea's soft laughter
Eluned's voice among the blue and green
Singing as my hands fly faster."

Nimuen bows her head and whispers, just loudly enough for you to hear, "And I pray..."

A chorus of voices join with Nimuen's leading soprano as she sings:

"Let there always be an ocean's wind
    To carry away my dreams
On canvas sails and seagull's wings
here nothing is as it seems."

Nimuen lifts the txitsu to her lips, and the sound of the waves seems softer, fainter.

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

"Each evening as I lay my head down
The day's work done at last
I listen to the the gentle sound
    Of halyard upon the mast."

Nimuen sings in a soprano voice:

   "Asleep within the salted spray
That scents the sweet night's breeze
    Resting in Eluned's strong arms
Next to the ocean, my heart's ease."

Nimuen raises her head and lets her voice carry clearly, passionately, across the room. "And I pray..."

A chorus of voices join with Nimuen's leading soprano as she sings:

"Let there always be an ocean's wind
    To carry away my dreams
On canvas sails and seagull's wings
Where nothing is as it seems."

Nimuen's performance ends.

Nimuen says, "Ladies and gentlemen... the Troupe of Four Winds! May the winds carry you safely to your dreams."

Firannion ponders whether she will live long enough to gaze out at the ocean. Axegore exclaims, "Bravo!"

Dreamheart exclaims, "And next week's concert is by the Lovely Firannion. Remember, same time, same place!" Dreamheart exclaims, "thank you all for such a wonderful evening of music!"

Nimuen exclaims, "One last time, folks, put your hands together for Trul, Eileethan, Landru, Firannion and of course, the incomparable patron of the arts and bard extrodinaire, Dreamheart!"
