Post:	Tonight {{PRel|Kurmin}} was heard on the gweths, he is apparently the Captain of the Spider where the {{PRel|Hollow Eve Festival|Hallows Eve fest}} is held. I don't know all that he said on gweth as I was more involved in a meeting I was in but I remember a few things like he said Dwarves had too much hair, something about Halflings and their hairy feet, and something about Elvish ears. He also called Ariya a troll. But the main jist of it was that the spider has crashed and now needs repair. After the meeting ended, we headed out to see what we could do to help and this is what occurred: <br /><br /> [Grasslands, Footpath]<br /> The dusty air of the struggling grasslands obscure the wagon ruts heading into the distance west. A small group of gnomes stand guard over a rough patch of dirt just off the main path. Mountains loom to the north and south, their saw-edged peaks and broken crowns indicate their origins as volcanoes in the not-so-distant past. You also see a black Moongate, a pool of black shadows, a misshapen Shadow Servant, a ponderous Shadow Servant, a ponderous Shadow Servant, a pool of black shadows, a red moonbeam and a giant mechanical moth painted in vibrant reds and greens.<br /> Also here: Hodierna's Fist Nesra, Chanteuse Ariya, Ill Omen Samton, Guard Sergeant Schreck, Bloodwraith Vansiil, Divine Knight Heartsfyre and Captain Kurmin.<br /> Obvious paths: east.<br /><br /> Heartsfyre makes a grunting noise.<br /> Samton gasps!<br /> Kurmin says, "Oh, hey. One of those hairy folk."<br /> Heartsfyre puts her fragment in her pale azure pouch.<br /> Talliska chuckles.<br /> You chuckle.<br /> Paeldroth bows to Kurmin.<br /> Talliska says, "I hope you don't mean me."<br /> Ariya fixes Kurmin with a serene, lofty stare.<br /> Samton says to Kurmin, "The whole town is going to show up to help you out."<br /> Paeldroth snickers at Talliska.<br /> Vansiil asks, "Who, wha?"<br /> Talliska says, "Well, he's being rather noisy about it, so it's hard to ignore."<br /> Paeldroth says, "Captain Kurmin, we're here to help."<br /> Katjia peers quizzically at Vansiil.<br /> Talliska grins.<br /> Ariya exclaims to Kurmin, "I am not a troll!"<br /> Paeldroth says, "Show us what to do."<br /> Talliska nods to Paeldroth.<br /> Vansiil says, "No, the cross dressin dwarf from last night."<br /> Kurmin jumps back from Ariya!<br /> Kurmin asks, "You sure?"<br /> Kurmin squints at Ariya.<br /> Katjia exclaims to Vansiil, "The eavesdropper!"<br /> Samton chortles softly at some secret joke.<br /> Kurmin asks, "Oh, hey. How you doin?"<br /> Heucuva chuckles.<br /> Ariya nods.<br /> Kurmin stands near Ariya.<br /> Vansiil exclaims, "Wha?!"<br /> <br /><br /> You see Captain Kurmin, a Gnome.<br /> Kurmin has ale-brown eyes. He has cropped dark brown hair, with tanned skin.<br /> He appears to be an adult.<br /> He has a short bristly mustache on his upper lip and a short prickly beard.<br /> He is in good shape.<br /><br /> He is wearing a kyanite gwethdesuan, a jadeite gwethdesuan, some dark leather boots buckled with emerald-inlaid silver clasps, a pair of dark blue leather trousers with a pressed crease down both sides, a small flamewood keg, a black leather vest loosely laced up the front, a black canvas satchel, a black canvas tobacco pouch and a broad-brimmed black leather hat embroidered with a ring of jaunty spiders.<br /><br /> Ariya flirts with Kurmin. Kurmin gives her a quick grin.<br /> Katjia grins at Vansiil.<br /> Ariya leans forward, her lips not quite touching Kurmin's as she makes little kissy noises.<br /> Heucuva leans back against Katjia with a loving smile.<br /> Vansiil bites Katjia!<br /> You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.<br /> Ariya winks at Kurmin.<br /> Ariya gets a glass of blush colored Ariya's Scream spotted with blue bubbles from inside a small wicker basket twined with colorful ribbons.<br /> Ariya offers Kurmin a glass of blush colored Ariya's Scream spotted with blue bubbles.<br /> Ariya says, "Booze."<br /> Ariya nods.<br /> Kurmin asks Ariya, "Have I mentioned I own a very large spider?"<br /> Vansiil says, "It was the NAVIGATOR spying on you Katjia, not me."<br /> Ariya says to Kurmin, "You have not, but that is very impressive. You should take me on a tour sometime."<br /> Ariya nods to Kurmin.<br /> Talliska gazes thoughtfully at a giant mechanical moth painted in vibrant reds and greens.<br /> Schreck says, "And eveidently some sort of moth."<br /> Kurmin exclaims, "Well ok!"<br /> Vansiil snickers.<br /> Kurmin exclaims, "Right this way!"<br /> Vansiil says, "Its a broken spider..."<br /> Ariya smiles at Kurmin, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.<br /> Kurmin joins The Gnomish navigator. "Right this way, madam."<br /> [Below the Moth, Basket]<br /> Sturdy planks of dark oak have been cunningly fitted together to form a comfortable and airy conveyance. Directly above your head, the mechanical workings of the moth spit forth copious amounts of steam, oil and noise. The tiny, even for a Gnome, pilot crouches within the head of the odd flying machine. <br /> Also here: Storm Mage Paeldroth, Huntress Talliska, Bloodwraith Vansiil and Captain Kurmin.<br /> Obvious paths: none.<br /><br /> Talliska says, "Wow. It's sure noisy."<br /> Talliska coughs.<br /> Kurmin asks, "Oh, hey. How you doin?"<br /> Kurmin stands near Katjia.<br /> You nod.<br /> Talliska says, "Pretty amazing though."<br /> Katjia says, "Dirty too."<br /> Katjia smiles at Kurmin.<br /> Kurmin says, "You're doin dirty? THat's weird."<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Samton cautiously says to Kurmin, "Them hairy folk scare me too, just dont look em in the eye."<br /> Katjia exclaims, "Not me!"<br /> Ariya smiles at Katjia, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.<br /> Ariya says to Kurmin, "Katjia is kinky."<br /> Heucuva chuckles.<br /> Talliska scratches one ear, looking bemused.<br /> Ariya nods to Kurmin.<br /> Kurmin frowns.<br /> Katjia shakes her head at Kurmin.<br /> Heartsfyre says, "Hopefully."<br /> Kurmin squints at Katjia.<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Heartsfyre says, "He dont crash on the way there."<br /> Kurmin says, "She doesn't look crooked."<br /> Heartsfyre grins impishly.<br /> Kurmin frowns.<br /> Katjia laughs!<br /> Heucuva laughs!<br /> Talliska asks, "Just on the inside?"<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Katjia taps her head.<br /> The giant mechanical moth makes a series of whining noises followed quickly by a large cloud of smoke exhausted from its antenna. The Gnomish navigator sticks his head out of the cockpit and yells, "Hold on! We're outta here!" as you jerkily surge into the sky.<br /> Vansiil exclaims, "Wheee!! Its a movin! Its a movin!"<br /> Vansiil bounces around happily.<br /> Vansiil bounces around happily.<br /> Kurmin exclaims, "Hold on you schlooms!"<br /> You flail your arms about.<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Schreck says, "Whoa now."<br /> Nesra grins at Vansiil.<br /> Katjia exclaims, "I'm scared of heights!"<br /> Heucuva says, "Um."<br /> Ariya asks, "What is a schloom?"<br /> Katjia shivers.<br /> Vansiil points at Ariya.<br /> Kurmin says to Katjia, "Don't worry. I'm here."<br /> Ariya exclaims, "Is that like knickers, cause I don't wear those!"<br /> Ariya pulls Vansiil towards her!<br /> Heucuva asks, "We gonna crash?"<br /> Ariya just hugged Vansiil.<br /> You stand near Heucuva.<br /> Schreck says, "No one said anything about flying."<br /> Once sufficient altitude has been reached, the bumpiness of the lift-off settles down to a smooth bobbing, and the frantic wingbeats become a steady steel-grey blur.<br /> Schreck clears his throat.<br /> Vansiil says, "Time to put up a contigency spell."<br /> Vansiil mutters to himself.<br /> Katjia asks, "Altitude?"<br /> Vansiil seems to be concentrating intently on something.<br /> Kurmin nods to Katjia.<br /> Heucuva stands near Katjia.<br /> You say to Katjia, "Don't look down."<br /> Talliska says, "THis is incredible."<br /> Talliska's jaw drops.<br /> Samton says, "Hopefully we dont crash, Ariya might put us over the weight limit."<br /> Kurmin points over the side.<br /> Katjia gulps.<br /> Schreck casually observes the area.<br /> Nesra nods at Talliska, obviously agreeing with her views.<br /> Ariya laughs at Samton.<br /> Kurmin says, "See. Altitude."<br /> Ariya kicks Samton!<br /> The giant mechanical moth wings strongly above the Northern Trade Road. The caravans and pack animals traveling on the road look like tiny insects from up here, and they soon dim out of sight.<br /> Schreck crosses his eyes.<br /> A shimmering mirror of shadows appears momentarily in the air above, briefly revealing Kraggur's face.<br /> Ariya says to Samton, "My bossoms don't weight that much, geesh."<br /> Paeldroth exclaims, "This is just like flying!"<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Vansiil asks, "Anyone have a spare bag the don't want?"<br /> Vansiil blanches.<br /> Katjia asks, "Kraggur didn't come with us?"<br /> Nesra says, "Wow! That's some sight, looking at the ground from here."<br /> You say to Paeldroth, "Uhm we are flying."<br /> Katjia says, "Aww."<br /> Vansiil shakes his head at Katjia.<br /> Paeldroth exclaims, "That would be why!"<br /> Katjia asks, "He got us here and got left behind?"<br /> Paeldroth grins at you.<br /> Talliska laughs!<br /> You nod to Katjia.<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Heartsfyre ponders.<br /> Vansiil says, "Yup. What a schloom."<br /> Kurmin asks, "Oh, hey. How you doin?"<br /> Kurmin stands near Nesra.<br /> Ariya says, "Aww poor Kraggur."<br /> Katjia says, "Sorry Kraggie."<br /> Samton chuckles.<br /> Kurmin asks Nesra, "Have I mentioned I own a very large spider?"<br /> Nesra smiles at Kurmin.<br /> Vansiil leans over and licks Kurmin, getting an amiable jab in the ribs in return.<br /> Nesra grins at Kurmin.<br /> Nesra shakes her head.<br /> Heucuva leans back against Katjia with a loving smile.<br /> Wisps of clouds pass by as the giant mechanical moth whisks you westward across the sky, accompanied by a monotonous, unceasing thump-thump-thump noise.<br /> You chuckle.<br /> Talliska says, "He got us here, we can let him know what happens."<br /> Nesra says, "Not to me...but I heard mention it."<br /> Nesra chuckles.<br /> Katjia asks, "Can we bring Kraggur when we land?"<br /> Katjia asks, "We will land right?"<br /> Kurmin says to Nesra, "I could show you around, sometime."<br /> Katjia peers quizzically at Kurmin.<br /> Kurmin says, "And..."<br /> Samton says to Kurmin, "Less flirting, more flying."<br /> Ariya giggles.<br /> Kurmin says, "The following face just licked me."<br /> Finally leaving the grasslands behind, the giant mechanical moth flies directly to the Journelai Mountains sprawling all across the northwestern horizon.<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Heucuva exclaims, "And no crashing!"<br /> Heartsfyre says, "In his case.. he Woos.."<br /> Ariya says to Kurmin, "She is one of my wives, she is a group deal."<br /> Paeldroth says, "I guess a gnome's gotta do what a gnome's gotta do."<br /> Vansiil begins chortling at Kurmin.<br /> Ariya nods to Kurmin.<br /> Nesra grins at Ariya.<br /> Ariya leans on Nesra.<br /> Ariya snickers.<br /> You say to Kurmin, "There's a lot of us."<br /> Schreck ponders.<br /> You grin at Ariya.<br /> Paeldroth says, "Olviously."<br /> After a particularly ungraceful turn in the air, something that looks like an elaborate wrench falls from above and into the mountainside below, eliciting some colorful Gorbesh expletives yelped from the cockpit inside the moth's head.<br /> Kurmin yells, "You schloom of a navigator, make a left up here!"<br /> You ask Ariya, "How many wives is it now?"<br /> Ariya says, "7."<br /> Ariya nods.<br /> Talliska says, "We all just came out of a meeting, so we came in bulk."<br /> Talliska chortles softly at some secret joke.<br /> Kurmin says, "Oh, hey. There goes another wrench."<br /> You flail your arms about.<br /> Nesra winces.<br /> Talliska scratches one ear, looking bemused.<br /> Ariya says, "Umm."<br /> Heucuva blinks.<br /> Paeldroth frowns.<br /> Heartsfyre winces.<br /> Ariya says, "I am too young to die."<br /> Talliska says, "That probably isn't good."<br /> Katjia says, "Bulk and altitude don't go together."<br /> Vansiil gestures.<br /> Ariya pulls Samton towards her!<br /> Kurmin gazes over the side.<br /> Kurmin says, "I think."<br /> Katjia says, "Please don't say those together."<br /> Vansiil gestures.<br /> Nesra gnaws on her lip.<br /> Ariya says to Samton, "You are going to be my flotation device."<br /> Paeldroth asks, "Maybe we should try to stay, you know...up?"<br /> Nesra pats Katjia on the back.<br /> Vansiil ponders.<br /> Vansiil seems to be concentrating intently on something.<br /> Nesra covers Katjia's eyes with her hand.<br /> Kurmin exclaims to Paeldroth, "A positive attitude, righto!"<br /> Vansiil gestures.<br /> Heucuva nods to Paeldroth.<br /> Nesra says, "Just don't look."<br /> You say to Ariya, "At least we have plenty of empaths..."<br /> Vansiil mutters to himself.<br /> Ariya nods.<br /> You enter a secluded mountain valley that is verdant with blue spruces, junipers and sugar pines. A cool, aromatic breeze betrays the presence of laurel trees as well.<br /> Paeldroth grins.<br /> Heartsfyre says, "Tis fine.. i need the empathy.."<br /> Ariya smiles, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.<br /> Katjia exclaims, "As long as we don't go smush!"<br /> Kurmin exclaims, "Keep those spirits up! We'll save the spider and my life will be full of new lady friends!"<br /> Nesra says, "We won't be much good if we're dead too."<br /> Schreck sniffles.<br /> Vansiil says, "Nope, no mid-air moongate."<br /> Heartsfyre grins evilly.<br /> Heucuva says, "That wont matter if we all die in a fiery crash."<br /> Vansiil sighs.<br /> Nesra chortles softly at some secret joke.<br /> Schreck sniffs the air around him.<br /> Talliska laughs!<br /> Ariya giggles at Kurmin.<br /> Samton lets out a hearty cheer for Kurmin!<br /> Nesra grins at Kurmin.<br /> You grin at Kurmin.<br /> Ariya says to Kurmin, "You are cute, ladies like that."<br /> Ariya nods to Kurmin.<br /> You say, "Positive attitudes are wonderful."<br /> Paeldroth says, "Warrior Mages should be fireproof by default."<br /> Paeldroth mutters to himself.<br /> The passenger basket is sharply swung to one side and then the other several times as the giant mechanical moth follows the curve of the valley walls.<br /> Kurmin says, "Oh, hey."<br /> Paeldroth exclaims, "Wah!"<br /> Ariya says to Kurmin, "Maybe just not mention the crashing."<br /> Kurmin frowns.<br /> Paeldroth takes a seat.<br /> Heucuva pulls Katjia towards him!<br /> Katjia says, "Kinda short."<br /> Heartsfyre yells, "Other Left!"<br /> Paeldroth exclaims, "Too much movement!"<br /> Heartsfyre makes a grunting noise.<br /> Katjia smiles at Heucuva.<br /> Katjia kisses Heucuva. And she doesn't seem to want to stop.<br /> Talliska asks, "What direction are we goin'?"<br /> Kurmin says, "That way."<br /> You say to Talliska, "Left I think."<br /> Katjia asks, "Up?"<br /> Talliska laughs!<br /> You scratch your head.<br /> Schreck says, "Northwestisherly."<br /> Ariya leans on Kurmin.<br /> Kurmin says, "Left is always right."<br /> Paeldroth says, "If I had known how dangerous actually going TO help would be..."<br /> Kurmin nods to you.<br /> Talliska says, "I meant cardinal. THank you Schreck."<br /> Talliska grins.<br /> Schreck gestures.<br /> Samton says to Vansiil, "You could always rely on contingency."<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Heucuva ponders.<br /> You say to Paeldroth, "You'd still be here."<br /> Talliska says to Paeldroth, "I think this is fun."<br /> Nesra says, "Oh, it's only dangerous if we fall out of the sky."<br /> Visible in the distance is an imposingly massive metal monstrosity -- constructed in a style semblant of your present ride but dwarfing it by a thousand times over. It appears to be a toppled arachnid, its eight huge legs half-stretched, half-bent uselessly around itself.<br /> Katjia says, "Are there bags."<br /> Katjia says, "Like."<br /> Talliska says, "Wow, there it is."<br /> Katjia says, "Sick bags."<br /> Kurmin sighs.<br /> You say, "Aww poor spider."<br /> Samton says, "Wow."<br /> Paeldroth frowns.<br /> Paeldroth stands up.<br /> Katjia blanches.<br /> Kurmin says, "My poor, poor baby."<br /> Heucuva chuckles at Katjia.<br /> Vansiil wobbles, looking a bit faint.<br /> Samton pats Kurmin on the back.<br /> You nod to Kurmin.<br /> Ariya says, "Awww."<br /> You pat Kurmin on the back.<br /> Nesra says, "We'll help you fix her, somehow."<br /> The air grows gritty and sour, heavy with various metallic and oily smells of machinery.<br /> Heucuva rubs Katjia gently, massaging her muscles.<br /> Katjia asks, "Can we fix your baby?"<br /> Paeldroth says, "You need reliable long term full time help."<br /> Ariya rubs Kurmin gently, massaging his muscles.<br /> Talliska asks, "It's gigantic. How many workers wer needed to build something like that?"<br /> Paeldroth nods to Kurmin.<br /> Ariya says, "We will get her fixed."<br /> A shimmering mirror of shadows appears momentarily in the air above, briefly revealing Archipelago's face.<br /> Kurmin says, "I built it myself."<br /> Kurmin gazes at his fingernails.<br /> Katjia praises Kurmin.<br /> You beam at Kurmin!<br /> Vansiil scoffs.<br /> Talliska asks, "All by yourself?"<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Talliska says, "That's fantastic."<br /> Nesra praises Kurmin.<br /> Flying in narrowing circles and maneuvering through large billows of yellow-black smoke, the giant mechanical moth begins descending to the valley floor.<br /> Samton says, "Surely you jest."<br /> Heartsfyre says, "Busy guy.."<br /> Nesra says, "That's an amazing accomplishment."<br /> Paeldroth says, "You must be an incredible climber."<br /> Heartsfyre adds to Kurmin's praises.<br /> Kurmin says, "I must be."<br /> Kurmin nods.<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Ariya smiles at Kurmin, revealing the dimples in her cheeks.<br /> Talliska chuckles.<br /> Ariya says, "That is nice."<br /> Kurmin says, "He said it."<br /> Ariya says, "I like men with talented hands."<br /> Ariya nods.<br /> Vansiil says, "I hear from a reliable source that you used lots of rust in the design."<br /> Screams of straining metal gears sound from above as the giant mechanical moth continues its spiraling descent near the crash site.<br /> Samton rolls his eyes.<br /> Ariya winks at Samton.<br /> Ariya leans on Samton.<br /> Kurmin says, "Yes! Rust is always plentiful and easy to replace."<br /> Kurmin nods.<br /> Samton grins.<br /> Schreck grins at Kurmin.<br /> Talliska chuckles.<br /> Vansiil gets a flask of oil from inside his pearly white pouch.<br /> Katjia asks, "Straining gears?"<br /> Katjia says, "Oh my."<br /> The giant mechanical moth jerkily falls from the sky, landing with an audible crunch from the basket beneath your feet. You quickly disembark.<br /> [Grasslands, Valley Floor]<br /> A fertile mountain valley stretches out before you. Jagged spires of rock support tall conifers in small clusters, providing a dramatic backdrop to the lush grasses and wildflowers that cover the valley floor. A small group of gnomes stand guard over a rough patch of dirt just off the main path. You also see a giant mechanical moth painted in vibrant reds and greens.<br /> Also here: Divine Knight Heartsfyre, Chanteuse Ariya, Guard Sergeant Schreck, Charmer Katjia, Penetrator Heucuva, Ill Omen Samton and Hodierna's Fist Nesra.<br /> Obvious paths: northwest.<br /> Ariya exclaims, "Eep!"<br /> Talliska says, "Yikes."<br /> Samton says, "Uh."<br /> Paeldroth falls over.<br /> Samton says, "Wow."<br /> Heucuva joins The Gnomish navigator.
