The "pelt, skin, hide" designator was arbitrarily applied to each critter some ages ago when tanning was first developed. On a system level, only skins and hides could be tanned, and I think everything could be made into clothing. Anyhow, it didn't make much sense when I went in and reviewed it, so I'm just going to allow everything to be used to make anything. But, it still makes sense for different types of flesh to have different names. It also lets us have goblin skin (from field goblins) that is not very protective, and goblin hide (say from snowbies or black goblins) that is more protective, etc. Trying to accurately determine which designator should go with each fantasic beast is perhaps a little too much work, but hollar if something seems horribly out of whack...
