Shivane was born on the 1st day of the 4th month of Shorka the Cobra in the year of the Emerald Dolphin, 327 years after the victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
You are Shivane Godsmash, Fire Cabalist of Elanthia, a Human Warrior Mage.
You have an angular face with frown lines around the mouth, sullenly glowing white hot eyes and a classical nose. Your grey hair is short and straight, and is worn loose, tucked behind his ears. You have weathered skin and a lean build.
You are tall for a Human.
A circle of obsidian is positioned between your eyes, surrounded by an aura of shadow rippling against your skin.
You are wizened.
You have a thick bushy mustache that droops heavily on your upper lip and a long shaggy beard.
You have a tattoo of a grinning skull with flame-filled eyesockets on your arm.
You are in good shape.
You are wearing a crystal skull, a singed black leather traveler's bag covered with empty naptha bottles, a twisted black cord dangling a scorched ring forged from interlocking plates of crimson-etched steel and iron, a singed black-leather headband embossed with a platinum dragon's eye, a darkened wizard's longcoat embellished with the crimson sigil of fire, a black singed-leather belt buckled with a scorched badge formed from old bone, a dark fiery-red wizard's talisman pouch embellished with the elemental sigil of fire and a black singed-leather satchel embroidered with two ominous dragon eyes upon the flap.
Background
Shivane's father Surk was a trader, dealing mainly with weapons and armor shipments between Zoluren and Therengia. His mother Genesha came from a family of non-guilded elemental mages from the west, though she had little affinity for magic herself. An accidental fire killed most of the family, and she fled to Zoluren where she met Surk - getting married in 316. Surk took as a crest an enraged dragon emerging from flame, what he claimed was a modification of a distant elder in his family. Their first child, Greiger, was born in 318 and quickly gravitated towards his father's trade. Shivane, born in 327, also had a knack for business - but his passions lay elsewhere.
His family completely denied the pursuit of any magical training. As a young boy Shivane would do anything to collect magical items, hiding his activity as best he could from his family. By his early teens his father was mostly away tending to his small shop in the city of Haven, while Greiger took care of other family business in the Crossing. Shivane had a stash of magic gear hidden outside the east walls of the city, and would spend more and more time there - often crossing paths with mages on their own business. His mother, worried about what magical affinities might spark in him, sent him to stay with his father in 344 - which was a difficult transition for him. In a strange city, he grew unhappy - and his father was far too busy to even notice his unease.
Shivane was guided towards dealing with fairly routine weapon sales to various guilds, and he quickly and efficiently completed business with reasonable profits. This led to a working relationship with several warrior mages, and Shivane was fascinated by their ability to enhance such boring mechanical interactions with something far more more elegant and mysterious. He had always felt drawn towards the energy of the elements, and one fire mage in particular, Venge, impressed on him their fundamental nature. Shivane felt that the mundane weapons he worked with day after day were such blunt objects - he would occasionally hold one firmly only to feel a molten warmth hiding in it's history. During this time he realized that his calling was elsewhere.

a singed black-leather headband embossed with a platinum dragon's eye
A smooth layer of icy blue platinum forms the embossed dragon's eye, shrouded in an aura of dark crimson flames. Fine platinum droplets fall gracefully away from the eye, giving it the appearance of melting ice. The lustrous droplets flow along the sides, forming the image of a cresting wave at each temple.
a scorched ring forged from interlocking plates of crimson-etched steel and iron
The plates interlock to form the crest of the Warrior Mage guild -- a soot-blackened wolf surrounded by an aura of glittering ruby flames above a pair of crossed steel swords.
a darkened wizard's longcoat embellished with the crimson sigil of fire
You study your longcoat and believe you can rub, shake, pull, roll, wave, hug, throw, kiss, nudge, punch, and turn it.
The sigil embroidered in a fiery red silk thread is the emblem of all followers of the flame. Behind the sigil there is an image of a enraged dragon emerging from a pit of flames. The dragon's tail is being consumed by fire while its sharpened claws penetrate deeply along the sleeves. Its scale covered neck twists along the shoulders while the eyes glare at the sky from the back of the hood.
a black singed-leather belt buckled with a scorched badge formed from old bone
Carefully carved into the belt is a design of sigils of water on one side and sigils of fire on the other side meeting at the bone badge which serves as a buckle. There appears to be something engraved on the badge.
A bone badge reads: "Aes getha, Jaal gath"
a dark fiery-red wizard's talisman pouch embellished with the elemental sigil of fire
The sigil embroidered into the fiery-red leather is the emblem of all followers of the flame. Behind the sigil there is an image of a enraged dragon emerging from a pit of flames. The dragon's snout belches long white hot fire. Its scale covered neck twists along the shoulders while the eyes appear to glare at all who approach him.
a singed black leather traveler's bag covered with empty naptha bottles
Dark scorches cover the bag, showing years of magical use. Throughout the bag are faint icy-blue threads, wrapping across the bottles almost randomly. The web flows along the bag, meeting on the center of the top flap to form the sigil of water, in hopes of warding off any mishaps that might happen to the pack of an explosive nature.
-This was made from an older traveler's pack.
a black singed-leather satchel embroidered with two ominous dragon eyes upon the flap
Thinking about the singed-leather satchel, you wonder if you might be able to: OPEN, CLOSE, SHAKE, CLENCH, POKE, PAT, RUB, GLANCE, and PULL it.
The satchel has several small pouches designed for easy retrieval of naphtha bottles and rune stones. Elegant platinum threading gives the impression of waves flowing up along one side, while crimson threading leaves a trail of flames along the other. They meet on the flap, forming one icy blue dragon's eye, and one fiery red eye, both seeming to gaze at you menacingly.
a jade-hilted scimitar etched with spiraling fireballs down the pommel
The fireballs leave trails of smoke behind, from the smoke you see the words "Aes Getha" emerging in shadowy black lettering.
a meticulously carved dragon statuette of ebony
The wood has been shaped to resemble two dragons in flight. One magnificent creature has a pale bluish tint, while the other sports a fiery red color. The two appear to be locked in mortal combat.
A shadowy-black red-eyed dog
Created in the first batch of customized familiars.
a high-waisted white silk wedding gown embroidered with graceful sapphire dolphins
The low-cut bodice and long flowing train are embroidered in silver thread with a faint pattern of flowing waves which sparkle with each movement of the fabric. Sapphire blue dolphins have been embroidered along the neckline and hem of the gown, leaping joyously amidst the glittering white waves. Narrow sapphire blue silk ribbons gather the fabric beneath the bust, and are tied in a charming bow at the front of the gown.
a pale pink diaphanous veil trimmed in seed pearls
A gold wire hairnet holds the thin, opaque fabric in place ending in intricate swirls of seed pearls at the hem.
a cascading bouquet of lilies and impatiens nestled in a bed of angel hair ferns
Deep purple steffanotis mingle with tiny sprays of seed pearls in clusters about the creamy lilies. Finishing the bouquet, a profusion of curling sapphire and iridescent pearl silk ribbons twine about the flowers, the loose ends artfully draped to brush the floor when held.
Misc
a flame-red rosewood spellbook case inset with swirling ruby fireballs
This was the case and spellbook used by my apprentice, Gathaes.
Fingers of fiery essence almost seem to flicker within the exquisitely cut rubies whenever a stray ray of light falls upon them. It is currently closed.
The Case contains multiple compartments.
The spellbook has been carefully bound in ice blue satin, which is in pristine condition. Bold calligraphy inlaid in lustrous gold leaf scrawls dramatically over the satin-bound cover.
A platinum dragon's claw socket has been inset in the spellbook's cover, just below the title. The platinum dragon's claw is splayed wide open, awaiting something to be placed within its grasp.
Inlaid in lustrous gold leaf over the ice blue satin cover of the spellbook is the title:
~ Everlasting Embers: A Tome of Fiery Essence for Gathaes Jaal'Getha ~
an enameled pewter clasp shaped like an enraged dragon
engulfed by crimson flames
The dragon's dark crystal eyes glitter malevolently, sending a shiver down your spine. One paw is upraised, its talons extended as it claws wildly at the air. The other clutches a tiny ivory scroll. There appears to be something written on it.
An enameled pewter clasp reads: In remembrance of Shivane and Mircha's wedding, 7/353.
<variable fiery description> firestained ring
Inset into this simple, polished firestained band is a faceted crystalline gem. The gem glows with a soft white hot light.
This ring alters ones eyes, and shifts between around a half dozen styles. Also has a verb that mimics more atmospheric items.
massive round shield embossed with a rising orichalcum phoenix
Seasoned leather is contoured along the inside of the shield for added padding, giving it a rich but comfortable air. A beautifully rendered phoenix, entirely wreathed in extravagant inlays of orichalcum flames, is raised from the metal background. Brilliant night-diamond eyes are faceted into the head, adding extra detail to the artistry that sprawls across the front of this shield.
-From The Hollows Eve Festival Auction in 399. Shivane acquired this through a third party more recently, and wasn't there in person.
The skull looks to have been masterfully carved from a single piece of clear crystal in a perfect imitation of a S'Kra Mur skull. Large faceted emeralds fitted into the eyesockets of the skull seem to glow with an inner fire. A thin leather thong is attached to a gold ring set in the back of the skull.
You believe you could PEER, RUB, RAISE, PULL or WAVE the crystal skull.
Your vision is drawn to the skull's emerald eyes, pulling you into their faceted depths. The mesmerizing verdant flames almost trap you.
You jerk your eyes from the skull.
From an auction, Raises primary magic for a short time once a day.
an elegant midnight black Elven silk haversack emblazoned with shimmering flames
An artful combination of firesilk panels and ruby dust gives the impression of flames leaping up the sides of the container like crackling evening firelight. An intricately detailed cluster of moonflowers in hues of a midnight sky rest atop the flap. A sheen of diamond dust on the tip of each delicate petal gives the hint of a frosty tip. Diminutive Elven ivy leaves seem to drift from the flap towards the enveloping flames. A discreet label peeks beneath the Elven Ivy vine shoulder strap. There appears to be something written on it.
An elegant midnight black haversack reads: "In service to the citizens of Elanthia. Silvermist Family, 415."

a fluffy pearlescent towel stitched with elegant Elven ivy leaves
Viridian hued leaves are scattered amidst a delicate cluster of moonflower blossoms resting at the heart of enveloping embroidered flames that cover the towel. The shimmer of glittered thread adds the impression of deep shadows as the flames appear to blaze protectively around the resplendent blossoms. A discreet label peeks from the corner. There appears to be something written on it.
A fluffy pearlescent towel reads: "In service to the citizens of Elanthia. Silvermist Family, 415."
an elegant Elven silver chain strewn with resplendent moonflowers
Diminutive Elven ivy leaves create a series of exquisitely delicate chains designed to cascade through the hair when worn. As if caught on an errant breeze, radiant sapphire moonflowers glisten like stars in the firmament of a wintery evening, a sheen of diamond dust adds the impression of a midnight frost upon the swirling foliage. Intricate cursive script has been etched along the chains. There appears to be something written on it.
An Elven silver chain reads: "In service to the citizens of Elanthia. Silvermist Family, 415."
You study your silver chain closely. It looks like it can be worn in the hair for special occasions and hairstyles.
A wonderfully crafted set recently acquired, clearly having been made for or by the Silvermists.
Missing
Shivane's tendency for collecting and trading odd items led to some interesting purchases, though some have been lost over time. In particular before leaving for an extended break long ago, he left his most prized possessions with a trusted friend. Unfortunately he learnt a lesson in trust, as they were eventually sold. He is always looking for some of more customized parts of this collection, and asks to be contacted if any are located. While Shivane may have lost most of his collection, he is busy assembling a new one now that he is back in the populated areas of the realm.
