Second ranger meeting

[Ranger's Guild, Hall] This large rustic hall is lined with a hundred wooden benches guarded by the trophy heads mounted high on the walls among an exquisit collection of bows, crossbows, arrows and bolts. At the far end is a raised platform with a table on it, and there the Leader Tolle stands quietly reviewing his register. Several torches flicker and sputter in holders along the rough wood walls as a draft wanders through the room reminding all that despite its splendor the hall is still the home of the Ranger. You also see a large awards case, a silverwood stand with a guild register on it and a large wooden notice. Also in the room: Minni who is seated, Drakehammer, Martee who is seated, Aislin who is seated, Zovyn who is seated, Coalwolf who is seated, Hamooth who is seated, Dhelt who is seated, Hawkman who is seated, Tebriel who is seated, Dorthos who is seated, Tabac who is seated, Samantha who is seated, Diancecht who is seated, Calgacus who is seated, Shythor who is seated, Bezyan who is seated, Rhomus who is seated, Sscars who is seated, Rolas who is seated, Mobius who is seated, Partel who is kneeling, Athalen who is seated, Tarrin who is seated, Syvanus who is seated, Arinon who is kneeling, Xaran, Dolivn who is seated, Cardian who is seated, Gregoire who is seated, Evilruler who is seated, Starcatcher who is seated, Fargo who is seated, Olorein who is seated Obvious exits: out.

Treveri says, "Ok, now."

Treveri says, "Welcome to the second meeting of the Ranger's Guild."

Treveri says, "There are some guests here who are not rangers...that is fine. And you are welcome to offer your comments just the same as the Rangers...."

Mobius asks, "Trev? You know you are hiding, right?"

Treveri says, "But I ask you to remember this is a Ranger meeting, and we want to keep it that way."

Treveri says, "Now....I've taken the silence off the room but please...."

Treveri says, "No teaching, or emotes, or comments unless it's your turn to speak."

Zovyn says, "keep nodding and motions to a minimum too, please... and whisper ifnecessary"

A racoon scrambles into the room.

You say, "We'll behave."

The racoon sits down.

You say, "Promise."

Treveri mumbles something about, "and you wondered why I wanted to have it here."

Treveri chuckles.

Mobius says, "No...not really"

Evilruler says, "I wish Shinde brought our meeting to some far off place.."

Treveri says, "Ok, updates, and to get some things out of the way so we don't waste any further time on them...." (edited) [12:36 PM]

Treveri shakes his finger at a racoon.

The racoon cleans its face with its paws.

Treveri says, "As you can see...I have a friend with me tonight."

Treveri says, "Yes, it is a proto-type."

The racoon looks around curiously.

Treveri says, "But it is in fact real."

Treveri says, "Now..."

The racoon sniffs the ground.

Treveri says, "Some of you seem to be a little thrown off because it appears to have some War Mage mechanics associated with it...."

Treveri says, "that's true...both companions and familiars will use the same engine."

Tabac asks, "has a war mage aura?"

Treveri says, "But they will be very unique in how they operate, and when we're done, there will be no War Mage association...."

Treveri pets his racoon.

Treveri says, "As I have told you, there will be somethings that make companions different from familiars..."

Treveri says, "what those differences are you will have to discover for yourself when they become available...."

Treveri says, "Now, when will they be available...."

Mobius says, "Let's let him say what he has to say...he will open the floor to questions in a bit.."

Treveri says, "I told you at the last meeting they would be ready by now...."

Treveri says, "Well, now you are seeing why we don't like giving dates...."

You say, "It's ok. We like to see work in-progress, too."

Treveri says, "We thought they would be ready by now until we hit a snag that made us realize we were going to have to take a completely different approach...."

Treveri says, "Now...."

Mobius says, "The register says "Welcome, friends" No need for anyone else to read it :)"

Treveri says, "I would say you will prolly see them in 2 to 3 weeks....if everything goes as planned."
