Description
The scythewing larva looks much like a large worm, roughly the size (and shape) of a small Halfling. Its dusky blue exoskeleton is soft and fleshy, covered in a thick layer of gelatinous slime. Two small yet razor sharp mandibles protrude from a tiny circular opening in what you can only assume is its head.

The scythewing larva looks much like a large worm, roughly the size and shape of a small Halfling. Its dusky blue exoskeleton is soft and fleshy and appears to be covered in a thick layer of slime. Two small yet sharp-looking mandibles protrude from a tiny circular opening in one end, presumably its head.
In Depth
If a Glistening Scythewing Larva enters a room with a tree, the Larva will start to metamorphose into a Dusky Scythewing Moth.
Starting Metamorphosis:
A glistening scythewing larva crawls up the side of a rotting maple tree and hangs itself limply from one of the barren branches. A sticky white substance suddenly begins to congeal over the larva's flesh, rapidly forming a cocoon around it.
Emerging from Cocoon:
A sliver of silver light slits through a translucent pulsating cocoon, spilling a torrent of slimy red mucous all over a rotting maple tree. A massive moth creature emerges from the ruptured cocoon, stretching its bladed wings in a graceful arc.
