A cloaked messenger just arrived.

Iulianus peers quizzically at a cloaked messenger.

A cloaked messenger asks, "Greetings. You are, I presume, paladins of this guild?"

A cloaked messenger arches an eyebrow.

Kattena asks, "Yes. Who's asking?"

Iulianus nods to a cloaked messenger.
s>
A cloaked messenger says, "Very good. I come bearing an announcement from the Paladin Council. I would advise all to take heed and spread the word to your comrades."

Light shines in from above through a large skylight placed in the ceiling of this grand hall. All of the chairs have been arranged in a circle, representing the symbolic equality of all guild members. Mounted above the doorway, a shining silver broadsword points skyward. You also see a cloaked messenger, a small sack, a marble arch, an arched doorway, an armored sentry, an elaborate parchment scroll and a waste bin fashioned out of used shields.

Kattena nods to a cloaked messenger.

The messenger wears polished plate armor emblazoned with the Lion of Chadatru on the breastplate. A heavy crimson cloak drapes from his shoulders, almost dragging the ground.

Kattena whispers, "No! Goober"

Iulianus bows his head and chants a prayer.
You recognize the spell as Ease Burden.

A cloaked messenger says, "One Oane, formerly the official researcher for the Council, has been found guilty of treason, conspiracy to commit treason, and very likely theft. He is to be apprehended at all costs, and brought to the Guild Leaders or Council members without delay."

You scrunch your forehead together and furrow your brow.

Kattena raises an eyebrow.

Penderrin ponders.

Iulianus frowns.

You ask, "We have permission to do this?"

Iulianus gestures.
Pale yellow sparks begin to flicker over Iulianus's body.

A cloaked messenger says, "Anyone found aiding or abetting his crimes will be likewise considered guilty, and treated accordingly. I would worn you that he is believed to be mad, and quite possibly extremely dangerous."

A cloaked messenger says, "Indeed. By whatever means necessary."

Iulianus appears to be concentrating intently on something.

You nod.

You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.

You say, "We shall spreadtha word."

Penderrin asks, "Found guiltu by whom, exactly?"

Penderrin says, "Guilty."

Penderrin coughs.

A cloaked messenger says, "The Council."

You say, "Bytha council, ah assume."

Penderrin nods.

You nod.
Kattena asks, "And he is expected to be in this area somewhere?"

A cloaked messenger says, "We do not know."

Kattena nods.

Penderrin says, "He's awake, per se."

You nod to Penderrin.

You say, "Looks like we gotta manhunt on our hands."

A cloaked messenger says, "He could be anywhere. And likely is in deep hiding."

Kattena nods.

You ask, "Who should we bring him to. Will any guild leader suffice?"

You say, "Cleworth's got that dungeon..."

Penderrin grins.

A cloaked messenger says, "Indeed, although Darius or Cleworth would be the most advisable."

You elbow Penderrin in the ribs in a playful sort of way.

Kattena says, "But we have a pile."

Kattena grins at you.

A cloaked messenger ponders a moment.

You say, "Excellent."

You look at Kattena and cough.

Kattena ducks her head.

Penderrin rubs his bracer, which gleams brightly with a pristine luminescence!

A cloaked messenger says, "Yes, Darius would be wise. Cleworth if necessary."

Kattena nods.

You nod.

Iulianus frowns.

A cloaked messenger says, "Any if necessary, but those two above all others."
