Please note the word tentative in the title before reading further.

Now that you've done that, here's the tentative list of damage barriers we're looking at after the review. They could still change due to balance reasons, player feedback (Which is why I'm posting them now), technical hurdles, whims of the voices in my head, mechanical nightmares, veto by the powers that be and so forth. Names are also subject to change, the ones in Italics are the ones I consider placeholders.

Not included right now are Traders (This project was big enough already), Barbarians and Thieves (In both cases they're close, but they use slightly different mechanics and I need to discuss them a bit more with other GMs, so I decided to not hold up publishing this list any further).

Also I intentionally didn't include difficulty or preqs - those are likely going to be one of the last things adjusted as the new spells take shape. A few of them are marked signature because they're spells we cannot do without making them signature. I expect others to gain that designation once we move into final designs.

As a reminder, moving forward, there will be two classes of barriers. You may only have one of each type at a time.

Aegis - This is a spell that lurks in passive mode, occasionally intercepting attacks to do a little bit of flat damage reduction pre-armor. When INVOKED they'll go into active mode for a few minutes where they have 100% proc rate, stronger damage reduction, and ablate - so the barrier can potentially break early. There is a variable cool down how often you can invoke an aegis.

Ward - This is % based reduction that occurs after armor. For the most part, this is how barriers work now.

Damage reduction is based on tier, generally 1-3, with larger numbers representing greater damage reduction.

(Picture a bunch of tables here that I've spent hours pouring over to custom format for these forums. The just click below instead.)
