Skin and Part weight was previously hardcoded to 4 for reasons unknown to me. My guess is they ran into a bug and didn't know how to work around it, so hey let's hack it :P

Individual parts have long had weights ranging from 1 to about 10, but as players you stopped seeing these sometime after the original skinning release... To help facilitate the change over, I'm going to return parts to weighing 4 stones for now.

However, Skin weight directly translates to skin density. For this, some skins weigh as little as 2.5 stones each, and some weigh as much as 6 stones each. I must leave this change in place so the final armor/shield weight calculations are accurate. Otherwise you'll craft some leather armor, it will weigh too little or too much, and be inferior to items from other crafting systems.

Just be aware that when organs and bones become available you are likely to see some weighing more or less once more.
