| Howdy folks. I've decided the best course of action is to simple use the old leather shields as a kind of baseline for the shield system. As a result you'll notice all NEW forged metal shields' stats are going to be a bit higher. There was no way for me to retroactively change things, so I know some folks won't be happy...
Large metal shields will generally be the best. Medium bone shields will generally be the best. Small leather shields will generally be the best. This isn't to say that metal shields will suck when small, they'll still generally have higher durability or something to help compensate for the lesser protection, but it will give each crafting system some niche. Anyhow, leather shields should be out later. Let me know what you think! | |
