| Scrip gain under the original Riot quest was fairly random. From run to run it could swing very wildly. Looking at a healthy chunk of numbers, the average scrip per run would be in the 330-340 range. Some runs were far better (800+), some were far worse (less than 100).
Prison Riot: The Aftermath uses an entirely different method of earning scrip that's less random and more fair to the group as a whole. Here are some points: 1) We've made a group pool for this quest. You will not see it drop from creatures. Instead, when a creature dies, the group's pool will be awarded a small amount. 2) There's an NPC later in the quest that sells healing/rez items, which makes use of the group's pool. A single purchase impacts the group less by doing so than if it prioritized your personal scrip first. A single item purchase is roughly 4-9 creature kills, fairly easily recovered. 3) Completing an objective will award more scrip to the pool than killing a creature. 4) You will not actually have your scrip until you leave the quest at the end. When you leave (or are escorted out if the timer hits), you should be given messaging about how much you're given. Everyone gets an equal share (+/- 1 due to rounding). 5) You can check TASK to see the group's total along with your cut of it. 6) There is a cap on how much scrip each individual can earn. This may be tweaked in time, but the cap is currently set at 600. "Farming" past the 600 personal amount will not benefit (or hurt) you. I fully recognize that some of you won't like the idea of a cap, but it gives us a more stable way of planning item costs for the scrip shop in the future. I'll also mention again that even at 600, that's well above the average from Riot 1 runs. 600 is also a number that can change, up or down, if it becomes necessary. SGM Zadraes | |
