20% >>Are you guys at all willing to discuss if this change will have any repercussions on future development and buff availability for guilds and/or if there is anything designed to replace it? It just wasn't really doing what we wanted to do. The vast majority of buffs were in SoI (other than legacy effects). At the same time, the majority of things people had in Sphere of Influence they couldn't actually buff because we're not willing to support that many augmentation spells for each guild and non-combat buffs tend to be less exciting for people (First aid bonus anyone?). So it ended up being this sort of "Hey, a few of your spells are randomly lackluster" thing. I'm not sure we need anything to replace it - a lot of what it was doing naturally arises already just by what abilities we give to guilds and the fact that buffs are % based. There's some other changes for buffs floating around that we choose to not include Magic 3.2 to reduce the scope (More consistency with the ability to cast on others, the quiet death of some of the poorly implemented feats related to group casting that sort of thing). | |
