| Correct. The current plan is for rare metals to offer a 10-12% improvement over medium steel, without the same loss in durability has HC Steel has. Most rare metals that offer increased stats will also make enchanting more difficult.
The systems behind the techniques to improve potency and durability of tools (Enhancement and Tempering) are not yet live, but will be coming with Weaponsmithing. For all improvements in the new systems they will always cause one level of improvement, but often at the expense of something else. | |
