Dragons can only attune to two of the four known frequencies of mana: Elemental and Life. Lunar and Holy magic are to dragons what Gravity manipulation is to Humans. In that way, dragons regard us as strange magical creatures just as much as we regard them the same way! The raw power of a dragon's Attunement can vary with the health of his domain, but Albuam leaves no room to believe it's anything less than impressive. Albuam did not claim to learn any dragon magic in the text. He said his host, impressed with Albuam's archery and filled with royal generosity, offered to summon an Elemental Dragon to teach Albuam some of their ways, but Albuam had to continue on his journey instead.
