So the formula for polarity is linear right now. It's essentially:

50% chance of being good + Bonus from Tool + Bonus prediction potential (Which is a complex offspring of your astro, pool size and wisdom mostly).

I think what we're seeing is two problems. The first rises from needing this to be true:

50% + Max tool bonus + Max prediction potential = <100%

And the second comes from how heavily weighted the tool bonus is relative to the raw potential. It's possible I need to rebalance those.

HOWEVER, I did just notice a bug (and by bug I mean, I forgot to write that part of the code) in how visions are set up. What it should be doing is taking your astrology and charisma and using those as a substitute where tool bonding would usually be. What it was actually doing was calculating that, telling me it was setting everything up and then uh... that's where I forgot to code that step.

Sorry. Visions should be (slightly) better across the board now.

My goal with visions (as far as making a niche for them) was to make it so with a very skilled mage they are much better than a fresh tool. They are, however, much worse than a well bonded tool. For a mage just starting out you're going to see basically the same results with a fresh tool and visions.
