In terms of training climbing itself, practice is generally more efficient unless you happen to be in an area with at least 4 separate climbs in your skill range, probably more. Even then it may be more efficient, depending on the climbs and how far you have to travel between. Sure, if you want to min/max things to where you climb a portal back and forth once, then spend a minute or two training other skills, then climb back and forth again, sure, you are getting more bits per second. You are also not spamming climb back and forth like some folks did in the old days. Either way, the total number of climbs goes down and our goal is met. Climb practice isn't for everyone or every situation. Is it a useful tool for skill ranges where there simply aren't enough climbs in a given area to learn well otherwise if you want to focus train climbing itself. - GM Dartenian | |
