Greetings and Happy Friday, adventurers!

Mounted travel has received a round of updates this week following a review of ALL current player submissions via the SUGGEST MOUNT tool. Dozens of portals across Elanthia have been evaluated, with many paths, gates, and trails now open to mounted passage that weren't before.

A few notable changes have been made to well-traveled areas, and some portals have been confirmed as off-limits for practical or lore-appropriate reasons. A few examples:

  • The Gyfford's Bridge will allow mounted passage both ways.
  • The Raven's Point Gear Gate already allowed mounted passage inside (when the gate is opened), but going OUT was blocked. It is now unblocked provided the gate is open.
  • Paglar would not appreciate shalswar, nightmares, horses or other mounts parading through his longhouse. Whoever submitted every portal inside the longhouse should spend less time in the wilds.
  • Mounts aren't appropriate for the Memorial Tea Garden -- sorry, but leaving that as a mount-blocking obstacle.
  • The Gazit Lair housing area is not a great fit for horses -- no changes there.
  • Jadewater doesn't need mounts -- still blocked.
  • The gondola accepts caravans, so it should (and now does) accept mounts too. NOTE: The gondola auto-disembark WILL dismount you and separate you from your horse -- this is being looked into.
  • The dusk ogre tunnels west of Riverhaven are not mount friendly with the roots and all. No changes there.
  • The Lang barges need additional work before we can let you ride your horse on. They would also face the same issue with the auto-disembark that the gondola has. We can revisit in the future!

We'll continue working through submissions in the future, so keep using the tool to flag locations you'd like to see reviewed! Please think about the area before submitting and test! Of the nearly 70 submissions reviewed for this project, 29 of them already worked without us needing to do anything.

More to come!
