I've seen a lot of general angst regarding combat changes, and encourage you to hop over to the Combat folder to discuss them. These changes are all intended to make the game more enjoyable, please don't just assume we are trying to ruin your day...


The thought behind adjusting experience is... we have 15+ years of development time spent on circle 1-100 content, and maybe 1 year of development time spent on circle 100+ content. In some ways NewExp hurt the game because what used to take 10 years to do, can now be done in 6 months. Folks are going from 1-150+ so quickly they burn out and that is a direct threat to the life of the game.

YES - we have many higher circle content things in the works. But 15 years is a lot of ground to make up. If we don't slow things down just a little, there won't be anyone to enjoy the high circle content once it rolls out.

Nothing says we can't adjust it if it turns out to be too slow. I mean cmon, we're pretty much live-tweaking every aspect of the game these days to provide a better experience to you. But we need to ship 3.0 out with something, and just ask for a little patience and understanding along the way.
