| Ingredients of a sufficiently low quality will prevent you from creating masterwork items, irregardless of skill. So it is always a good idea to use the highest quality ingredients you can. Some techniques provide an ingredient "bonus", reducing the impact poor ingredients will have. This also holds true for tools, and the techniques providing tool bonuses. | |
