>>Could you explain a little more about this? Are the spell preps going to be chosen per Throne City type action? Random like the necros' default elemental/life etc deal?
No, it's little stylistic variations on the default prep that can't (or shouldn't) be mistaken for anything other than the realm prep, but change it up slightly so that a room full of, to continue the example, Moon Mages aren't all chanting it up in exactly the same way. >>This may have been answered before, but if so, I missed it. As I understand it, guild sorcery (Tangled Fate etc) will require a "base" amount in the Sorcery skill to use, but I also remember reading that the Sorcery skill will not be grandfathered. Is this accurate? Correct. >>Are we going to see major changes in the spells available via these tools? Or scrolls? I don't know how to define major in this case, but there'll be some changes. >>Does duration affect disabler duration (for things like dazzle?) or is that a potency function? Is duration primarily for buffs? No, Disabler duration is a function of your stat contest win (so, indirectly, Potency). It's primarily for buffs. >>Interesting. I am guessing spell stance wouldn't matter much then if you are able to cap the spell? I mean, you might as well go 100/100/100 if you can cap it unless I am mis-understanding(which is entirely possible). Correct, spell stance no longer matters when the spell is capped. >>A few of our enchantes currently are full packages, and do more than just 1-2 things like the typical regular spell. Per the last bard spell 3.0 list we got that wasn't changing much. The average Cyclic also does more than 1-2 things, or it does one exceptional thing. Generally, a Cyclic costs more slots if it does 4+ discrete things or something really noteworthy (the revised Guardian Spirit, for example). | |
