>>Okay so I am assuming that you are talking about both the perception debuff and the hiding debuff? I am trying to figure out a scenario where a cleric's primary motive would be to debuff a thief's perception.
It does both at the same time. You may replace Shadows / Stealth with Clear Vision / Perception at any point in those sentences. >>I am kind of confused by what seems like a contradiction of sorts. At one point when I casually suggested a stealth booster, I was told that clerics wouldn't get one because clerics have no focus on stealth. But it would appear that KW is designed primarily for clerics who devote large efforts into stealth. Another developer proposed KW, and my blackened heart of stone softened somewhat. In all seriousness, this should not be a source of confusion. KW and Revelation are anti-stealth spells (though KW can also be used to help hide in controlled circumstances), both rather difficult and time-consuming to set-up, and both requiring an intensive background in your tertiary skills to get the full effect. Think of it like Moonblade. It very clearly doesn't fit the focus of the guild or its skillset arrangement, and it only partially helps Moon Mages unless they have the tertiary skills to back it up. In such a way, we can explore the notion of an outlier spell without making it categorically suck. | |
