Since this is where I made my original post on this, I'm replying here and not in the other thread so as to hopefully help contain the spread of this discussion so everyone interested can more easily read and contribute.

Auction items are a long and very involved process that can take multiple months and involve many different GMs at various stages. The items for this current auction are all finalized and no more are added at this stage. Everything that will be auctioned is listed in my original preview post, no additional copies or secret additions are being obfuscated and none will be showing up in the auction. This preview is intended as a *very* above-board thing.

As pat as it might sound, the feedback is really sincerely appreciated, but it comes too late to be included in this particular auction. That doesn't mean that these ideas and requests are ignored or forgotten, it just means that you'll need to keep your eyes open for them showing up in other places and at other times.

This was a trial run of this sort of thing for Prime and TF. Plat has gotten a couple of similar auction previews for their most recent auctions and it has proven useful and appreciated there. As I was preparing the in-game preview and doing the last 15+ hour round of other various auction related things in the last couple of days, I decided to give it a go across the board this time to gauge its usefulness on a wider scale.
It does kill an element of surprise at the auctions, for sure, but nothing posted in the preview is beyond what will be told during the actual live auction and it may help some folks decide what (or if anything) appeals to them. This also helps the folks who are actually wanting an item since people who go to the auction and then begin to bid on anything just because they are there and don't want to feel as though they've wasted their time are sometimes weeded out by foreknowledge.

Not during this specific auction, no. Prison scrip being used during HE auctions is something we have moved away from in general. While I absolutely understand the desire to have other things to spend your scrip on, including auction items, this particular auction is not best suited for that, and this year's HE auction was not designed with a scrip component in mind. I personally have a few other projects where scrip *is* being kept in mind, but this isn't quite the time or place for that discussion.

This is something you will have to wait to find out during the auction itself.

Auctions only have comparatively small numbers of items in them versus players and the wide variety of things that might interest them. Some people only want brand new mechanics or crafting materials or insert anything else here that isn't included this time, and there is nothing wrong with wanting that. This auction just isn't going to be the one that excites you if that's the case. Likewise, some people may not be happy with the power scale of some items, or the balances made with them, and may think that it limits the items to the point that they don't want them.
We have a lot of factors that we weigh when each of us designs the items that we contribute, and then when assessing the contributions as a whole. Is it possible we missed the mark with some factors? Of course it is -- we're very much human. But it's also simply that some items are *intended* to be less than bleeding edge. They are there to be interesting to some, awesome to others, but never an absolute trump card to all -- especially people who already have other highest-of-high-end items. Some things are absolutely niche items! Some things are items that have been requested during feedback on other auctions or in general wishlists by players and are finding their way into the game in this particular event. Rest assured that if you are excited *or* disappointed by any given item, there is someone else out there that feels the exact opposite about it.

None of the items in this auction are restricted by race in any way. Even the unique verbs that are present on some of the cultural-flavored items can be used by anyone of any race, they are simply specific to those particular items and some of them have a particular element of cultural significance.
>>Other specific questions about any of the items
Information outside of what was was presented about each item in the preview post or that which can be gathered by interacting with the physical in-game full preview will need to be gained by the usual means -- namely during the auction itself.
