From another artist behind the scenes:
pearlhide
Must be provided for alterations

Description: Harvested by the sea-dwelling Merelew, pearlhide is taken from the thick outer membrane of giant deep-ocean clams found near submerged limestone ridges. Pearlhide is a supple marine leather with a smooth, fine grain and a soft luster reminiscent of polished nacre. Its pale, silvery surface carries subtle iridescent tones of blue, green, and purple, making it lightweight yet durable for garments, accessories, and decorative inlays.

Sample: Pearlhide is a pale, silvery leather displaying subtle iridescent tones of blue, green, and purple.

dawnmist lace
Must be provided for alterations

Background: The Merelew of Andreshlew harvest fine, fibrous reeds and sea-silk strands from tidal marshes and then knot the delicate threads into a lightweight, decorative openwork textile with an exceptionally fine weave. It is not suitable to be used as a base material for anything bigger than a small bag or necklace, though it is sturdy enough to be used as trim or overlay on most garments. Its surface carries the subtle sparkle reminiscent of sunlight glinting on a misty cove at dawn, no matter what color it is dyed.

Sample: The dawnmist lace trim displays a delicate sparkle, echoing the soft shimmer of dawn breaking across on a misted cove.

seaspark sapphire
Must be provided for alterations

Background: Seaspark sapphires are mined from deep tidal caverns where mineral-rich currents swirl through layered rock. The Merelew of Andreshlew first discovered the stones, noting that ribbon-like inclusions glow faintly, like sunlight glinting across shallow waves. They are collected carefully to preserve the subtle inner light. Though shades of blue and blue-green are most common, they are occasionally found in hues of pink and purple.

Sample: The seaspark sapphire is a deep, translucent teal-blue, with its rippling inclusions giving off a faint bioluminescent glow, reminiscent of sunlight dancing across shallow water.

krakenite
Must be provided for alterations

Background: Krakenite forms in deep ocean trenches, where crushing pressure and mineral-rich waters compress iron into dense ore. The Merelew harvest it with care, diving into near-lightless depths to extract it piece by piece before smelting it into ingots for use in armor, weaponry, and tools. It is dark metal that can be used in decorative pieces or jewelry, though its only remarkable visible feature is that it will not retain a shine of any kind.

Description: Krakenite is an inky black metal with an intensely matte finish that remains completely devoid of shine, even when polished or oiled
