A minor point, but one that might be relevant, is that a magical confound can be anything that changes or complicates the laws of magic around it. The term is used in the same sense that it is used in experimental design. It happens that a number of guilds do this by playing with the forces and creatures from other planes of reality, but it's not strictly required. | |
