The way I look at is.... Skill -> Weapon Stats -> Balance -> Buffs -> Hindrance -> Burden -> Stuff = OF Score Skill -> Tool Stats -> Ingredient Stats -> Buffs -> Tech -> Career = Crafting Score Crafting runs off its own formulas with its own checks and balances. That is why the crafting buff bonus is lower than normal - to keep things balanced.
