Because we get a LOT of bug reports... and also a lot of things "everyone knows are broken" that aren't ever actually communicated to staff.


/aside, this is not a problem exclusive to Simutronics. I work at a major tech company and discovered last week that our software guys had no idea that a previously working system had been broken nearly two years ago that was causing multiple delays, every day, to our highest priority products. Everyone who worked with the product knew about it and had learned to work around it, but never bothered to escalate it.

The lesson here is if you see a bug - bug it. If you see that same bug again later... bug it. Do give us at least a little time to resolve it however (A couple of days should be sufficient).
