The way in which soul state drifts down toward the grey/neutral level has been changed. Previously, unless soul was "pristine," it would gradually drift lower until it reached grey. Effective immediately, the rate of this drift will be MUCH slower, but the drift will occur even for those with pristine soul.

This should have two notable effects: First, it should now be much less difficult to maintain soul at a reasonably high level since the "drift" effect will be much smaller compared to the effect of the "good deeds" that restore soul state. Secondly, even Paladins with perfect souls will have to do something every once in a while to maintain soul at or near its best level. This should not be a big deal since the rate of drift is now slow enough that just doing one or two soul-restoring things every few real days of game play should be enough to cover this. In other words, someone with a really good soul state will not have to worry about it suddenly becoming mediocre if they go on a quest or a trip into the wilds for a couple of days. It won't get significantly worse that quickly.
