Auction Format Update · on 06/18/2021 17:37 4152
Greetings!

This year at Guildfest, thanks to the awesome coding work of GM Ynami, we'll be introducing some updated bidding mechanics for auctions going forward.

As a component of this update, we will be able to set the base unit for bidding currency to "platinum Kronar/Lirum/Dokora". For the upcoming Guildfest Auction, we will set the base until to platinum Lirums. As a result, when an item is up for bids, if you type BID 1 it will attempt to bid 1 platinum Lirum, if you type BID 500 it will attempt to bid 500 platinum Lirums, and so on. Please be aware that only platinum coins on your person can be used for bidding. No amount of gold, silver, bronze, or copper coins on you, regardless of their overall value, will be usable for bidding in this format.

Importantly, using this format will increase the maximum possible bid from the previous cap of approximately 214,000 platinum to somewhere just north of 2.14 billion platinum <insert Dr. Evil pinky at corner of mouth>

Big thanks to GM Ynami for making this a reality and to GM Zadraes for QC'ing the work so quickly!

Happy Bidding! :D
