Creatures will then attack it, and it will die when it takes X amount of damage, where X is determined by the summoner's skills and if it is upgraded. >Does the automaton count as a friendly creature for creature spawn, so that creatures will continue to spawn up to 8 per room, and you and the automaton are each engaged with 4 creatures? My understanding is that it's irrelevant if creatures are friendly. The spawn mechanics check how many of its creature are engaged to players. If the creatures aren't engaged to a player, they don't count. >If the automaton takes you place in the creature's engagement, does that bump you back to max engagement range where you have to advance again? It does not modify your engagement. If you are facing a creature at melee, and the Automaton replaces you, you'll be behind it and it will be facing the creature. >1.
