It's the same thing as every other item offered as quest treasure on this and any other quest -- everyone who picks up a mining helm is going to have the same one. Or walking into any shop ever put into the game that doesn't have a stock limited to 1 item only. There may be 30 other people out there wearing the same cloak you fell in love with at shop X. The familiars are just something special over the defaults most players have, for those who haven't been lucky enough to run into a familiar alterer to get something customized for him/herself.
