NEWS article 2-14:

Dateline 12/11/2009: ASSISTING THE VICTIM OF A CRIME

In our ongoing efforts to create a more enjoyable environment for our players, we have expanded and appended the rules regarding the provision of assistance to victims of crime.

To that end, it will NOT be considered a violation of Game POLICY for a player to provide **non-violent** intervention and assistance to the victim of a crime (such as graverobbery). This will include the use of magic or skills to search for, delay and detain the criminal in order to facilitate the victim exacting revenge and/or obtaining his/her belongings where warranted.

Providing POLICY is not breached, the GMs will no longer become involved in issues such as this - the players will be afforded the right and expectation to self-police and govern within the constraints of POLICY.

This POLICY will enhance and define existing Game POLICY, including (but not limited to) POLICY 4, and POLICY 11 as well as existing NEWS items such as NEWS 2 5 and NEWS 5 15.

Unless and until such time as this POLICY is specifically delineated and incorporated into formal POLICY, this item shall serve as official notification and clarification. This item may be modified at a future date with the incorporation and introduction of the new JUSTICE system, including the CHAMPION system.
