Kertigen's Will
Abbreviation: KW
Prerequisites: Minor Physical Protection, Uncurse, 15th circle
Minimum Prep: 10
Casting Cap: 45
Valid Spell Target: Item, Others, Critters
Description: Kertigen's Will is a spell that is both a blessing and a curse. Focus its power upon those who may try to harm you and the power of the Raven will overcome them, hampering their ability to hide upon you or seek you out. Focus its power upon an object laid at your feet and Kertigen shall provide it with his blessing, keeping it safe from the hands of all but its owner.
Example Messaging: Item Protection:

You gesture at <an item>.
You sense Kertigen's protection settling over <an item>, keeping it safe for <Cleric>.

Perception/Stealth Debuff:
You gesture at <target> then violently throw your head back screeching loudly!
A massive raven suddenly appears as if answering your call and begins to descend upon her.
Tucking its wings in and diving rapidly, the massive raven strikes <target> squarely in the chest then explodes into a dark ethereal mist spreading a (mild/moderate/great/etc.) curse over her.
Roundtime: 1 seconds

Target POV:
<Cleric> gestures at you and violently throws his head back screeching loudly!
A massive raven suddenly appears as if answering the call of <Cleric> and begins to descend upon you.
A feeling of great shock washes over you as the raven strikes you squarely in the chest and then explodes into a dark ethereal mist that covers you leaving you feeling somehow different.
Curse ending: You feel the anathema wane away.

Notes

  • There is a limited amount of time that items placed on the ground are tracked as being owned by someone else. If Kertigen's Will is cast within 15 to 30 seconds after the item is dropped it will be protected for the person who dropped it. After that time period it will be protected for the cleric casting the spell. Item protection is for a minimum of two minutes and caps out at 10 minutes; this blessing is broken when an item is picked up by its owner.
  • Percentage debuff on target's perception and hiding. With the current rank cap of 2000 it's about a 25% debuff. Because of this it comes into its own later on in a Cleric's career (~400 ranks compared to a straight buff of 100 ranks like Shadows).
