Official Description

It's fabulous. It's wonderful. It's inter-provincial!

Elanthia's first annual Kaith Kirm games has events scheduled all throughout the month. Who will be the fastest lockpicker? Who will craft the cleverest limerick. Who is the best at Roshambo (and how the heck do they practice it?)

Name Meaning

Kaith in Gamgweth means War and Kirm in the same language means blood. Hence the games that were held a few years ago, were Kaith Kirm, or War Blood/Blood Wars. -GM Anji

Rules

Kaith Kirm 374

1. CIRCLE BRACKETS - We have deliberately narrowed these this year to allow for more equitable competitions within the skill levels. Please note that a few games (i.e. the creative contests) may not require this level distribution. Details will follow on each event as it is finalized.

  • Division 1 Circle 1-10
  • Division 2 Circle 11-20
  • Division 3 Circle 21-30
  • Division 4 Circle 31-40
  • Division 5 Circle 41-50
  • Division 6 Circle 51-60
  • Division 7 Circle 61-70
  • Division 8 Circle 71-80
  • Division 9 Circle 81-90
  • Division 10 Circle 91-UP

2. ESTABLISHMENT OF WINNERS IN EACH DIVISION - Just like last year, there will be a 1st, 2nd, & ideally a 3rd place winner for each division in a competition. However, please note that if there not at least a total of 2 (TWO) contestants in a division, that particular division will be called as forfeited. We learned our lesson last year when some competitions did not have enough contestants participating and thus, no skill challenge and winners earned their positions simply by default. This year, in order to win, you MUST actually compete against someone <g>. Simple solution to this? RALLY all your friends around to make sure there are enough contestants in the competition and division you wish to participate in.

3. LIMITATIONS ON NUMBER OF EVENTS - The bar has been raised this year. Each CHARACTER is allowed to participate in a total maximum of 4 (FOUR) events. Remember, this is character-based totally. For example, if you have 10 characters on your account, you could potentially participate in up to 40 events! This should open things up a bit this year for those of you who really are gung-ho about wanting to participate to the fullest <g>.

4. PORTALS TO THE GAMES - There WILL be portals to all of the games this year. However, there will be limitations to their use. You may only use a portal to return to your original location IF you have used that same portal to attend a competition (as either contestant or spectator). There will also be a timeframe (once a competition is completed) after which that portal will close its doorway to all players. No staff member will move you once the portal closes. So, our suggestion would be that once you have finished competing in or watching an event, you go ahead and use the portal to return as quickly as possible afterwards. Hopefully, this too, will help folks to be able to participate in their chosen games and still maintain their normal lives otherwise.
