Syntax
rub my bloodlock:You rub your finger over the chalky white stone inset just above the keyhole in the emerald viper bloodlock. Without warning, a small needle jabs out of the keyhole and pricks your finger. Blood begins to flow, tainting the color of the stone to a deep crimson hue. You strangely feel more attuned to the bloodlock.
- Suddenly a malachite viper's fang spellbook key pops out of the lock mechanism with a distinct *click*, landing in your right hand.
put bloodlock on my spellbook: You attach the tail binding of the emerald viper bloodlock to the back cover of your [cover material] spellbook, placing the separate head binding to the front cover. Suddenly the emerald viper's jaws lurch out to grasp its tail on the other end, locking the spellbook shut.
close bloodlock: You pull the emerald viper attached to the bloodlock on the cover of the spellbook, latching it on to its tail on the back cover.
lock my spellbook with my key: You insert a malachite viper's fang spellbook key into the keyhole of the emerald viper bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. The entire length of the emerald viper shimmers with an inner light as you turn the key. The mechanism hisses listlessly as it locks shut.
unlock my spellbook with my key: You insert a malachite viper's fang spellbook key into the keyhole of the emerald viper bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A crimson flash emits from the eyes of the emerald viper as you turn the key. Its tiny ivory fangs retract from its tail, loosening its grip as the lock mechanism hisses quietly.
open bloodlock: You carefully remove the emerald viper's grip upon its tail, pulling its head back over to the binding on the front cover on your spellbook.
