- CHEW: You take a bite of a malformed blackfruit and chew carefully on it. Though the outside of the fruit is tough, the flesh inside is of the opposite consistency. It's like biting into an armored sponge! To make it worse, the juice is cloyingly sweet and leaves a metallic and bitter aftertaste on your tongue.
