| Look: | The almost black wood of the tube has been polished to a high gloss, highlighting the purple tinge characteristic of gloomwood. Fine filigree of silver is inlaid in the surface, flowing between the natural knobs and lumps that form the structure of the wood. A polished silver rim caps the end of the toy and holds the eyepiece in place. At the other end of the kaleidoscope, a thick piece of circular mistglass caps the tube, held in place by one of the large silver bands. |
