As you place the obsidian wolf bloodlock on to your spellbook, it suddenly grows very hot to the touch and grasps on to the cover with the power of a wolf's feral jaws.

UNLOCK SPELLBOOK WITH KEY:

You insert an obsidian wolf's fang spellbook key into the keyhole of the obsidian wolf bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. The wolf's eyes flash with an opalescent glow as you turn the key. The lock's mechanism growls shut.

OPEN BLOODLOCK (on spellbook):

You detach the obsidian binding from the front cover of the spellbook, pulling the wolf's head backward over the spellbook's front end.

CLOSE BLOODLOCK (on spellbook):

You draw the loose binding over the front of the spellbook, latching it onto the front cover to hold the spellbook shut.

LOCK SPELLBOOK WITH KEY:

You insert an obsidian wolf's fang spellbook key into the keyhole of the obsidian wolf bloodlock binding the spellbook shut. A crimson flash emits from the wolf's eyes as you turn the key. The mechanism growls softly as it unlocks, the wolf's eyes fading to a chalky grey.
